K.O. Ending Explained

The movie ends with a massive action sequence where the Manchours directly attack the police headquarters because they want to capture or effectively kill Leo. However, before that can happen, we also get to know why they are seeking Leo out like this. This is all because he’s the sole witness to them killing members of another gang. Not only that, Leo also saw a police officer helping the Manchours members, proving there is a mole within the police department.
Though Kenza suspects Benoit to be the betrayer in the beginning, the main culprit turns out to be the much more suspicious Vasseur, who has already prevented Kenza from doing her investigation previously. Vasseur kills Benoit in front of Kenza and charges at her with the same intention. But Kenza deals with him quickly enough.

Do the Manchours Get Their Hands on Leo?
No, they do not. After the death of Vasseur, what follows is an extreme and vicious all-out fight sequence where the members of Manchours’s group try to wipe out all the police officers just to get Leo. Though this kind of setup was quite unrealistic because in trying to get one kid, they are killing much more prominent police officials, which will definitely add more to the charges the assailants can face.
While trying to protect Leo, many lose their lives, and Kenza and Bastien try their best to keep him alive while fighting their own set of enemies. Here, Bastien gets shot while trying to get Leo to safety, but that does not make any difference to him. We see the determination he has in guarding Leo, as his main goal throughout the film has been to look after the boy. Perhaps that is why, despite being weak, he easily takes on his opponent. On the other hand, Kenza herself was able to brutally kill the boss of Manchours.

What Happens to Leo?
Nothing really happens to Leo, and he is able to reunite with his girlfriend thanks to Kenza and Bastien. They both made sure Leo could live even though they themselves were heavily injured.
We even witness Leo’s mother reuniting with her son and hugging him after seeing him doing just fine. This moment was definitely a tender one that was refreshing after so much bloodshed.
What Happens to Kenza and Bastien?

The meeting between Leo and his mother is seen from afar by Bastien and Kenza, who look beaten but happy. After seeing Bastien smile tenderly, Kenza comments that he must be pleased and enjoying the moment, to which Bastien agrees.
And, when Kenza asks Bastien what he plans to do now that Leo is safe and sound, he comments that he will look for something new to fight for. This definitely solidifies that Bastien’s quest for redemption is not yet complete, and he plans to fight only when he needs to save a life, unlike before.
