Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 9 Ending Explained: The ninth episode of the anime series premiered on September 14, 2023. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 (呪術廻戦 or Sorcery Fight) much-anticipated anime of this season, is finally out, and the fans cannot keep calm. Directed by Sunghoo Park, the show is animated under MAPPA Studio. With Sayaka Koiso and Tadashi Hiramatsu designing the characters, Yoshimasa Terui is the sole composer of the series. Tatsuya Kitani performed the opening theme, Where Our Blue Is (青のすみか), while Soushi Sakiyama performed the ending theme, Light (燈).

The anime is scheduled for two cours, the first five episodes will adapt the manga’s Hidden Inventory arc, and the eighteen other episodes will showcase the Shibuya arc. Licensed under Crunchyroll, the episodes will be available with English subtitles, and the dubbed version will be released later on.

Based on the manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami, the story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to kill a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host. However, the new season will consist of various aspects of the story which the audience has been wondering about. Each episode has a runtime of 20-25 minutes.

In the latest episode, Gojo has to face some new enemies and a few old ones. Nonetheless, the citizens are in danger and he needs to protect them. However, since he is the only Jujutsu Sorcerer in the Shibuya station, things start to get out of control for a while. However, with swiftness and quick thinking, he defeats everyone around him.

When a train full of transfigured humans reaches the station, Gojo has no option but to use his domain expansion. However, he uses his domain only for 0.2 seconds which would not turn non-sorcerers into invalids and leave them with after-effects. During that 0.2 seconds, everyone stood unconscious and went into a trance-like state. Taking the opportunity, Gojo kills around a thousand transfigured human in 299 seconds.

How is Gojo sealed?

As soon as Gojo is done with killing the transfigured humans, he notices a box lying in front of him. The box then opens up to capture him, and as he turns around to escape, he meets an unlikely person. It is none other than Geto Suguru, his childhood friend whom he killed during the battle. Geto’s plan was to distract him for some time, as the prison realm takes one minute to take a person captive. As Gojo was distracted, he realised that he was captured by the prison realm.

Who is using Geto Suguru’s body?

Although Gojo’s six eyes told him that it was Geto Suguru, his soul knew that it was not actually him. Then the fake Geto revealed that he was using Geto’s body through an ancient technique which allows the host to use the body as long as the brain is transferred. Since Gojo did not give Sugu a proper burial, the host was able to acquire his body. Moreover, along with the body, it also allows the host to use the cursed technique that Geto possesses.
