Excitement reaches the roof when Gojo Satoru steps inside the Shibuya station and is welcomed by three powerful enemies. However, no matter how skilled they are, Gojo’s power goes beyond and above their capabilities. The episode showcases a segment that is extremely important to the plot and will change the tone of the series significantly. Apart from the plot, it also contains magnificent battle sequences and stays true to its roots.
From watching the episode, we can quickly realise the motives behind the villains. It is clear that their main goal is to stop Gojo somehow, as he is the strongest sorcerer in the realm. However, they are fully aware that it is not possible to defeat him through fighting alone, as his infinity does not allow anyone to touch him. So, they plan on capturing him instead.
Moreover, we finally get a taste of Yuji Itadori’s power, the main character of the series. The audience has rarely ever seen him interact with another of the side characters in the series, Mei Mei and her brother Ui Ui. Although they do not know each other, they seamlessly collaborate to fight against the cursed spirits. The battle sequence between Yuji and the grasshopper is shown incredibly well, displaying the full extent of Yuji’s capabilities.

Apart from the plot, the animation of the episode remains top-tier as usual. MAPPA has significantly changed the art style for the new season. Instead of a more detailed character design, they have opted to add vibrant colours. Moreover, with less intricate details, they can easily make bigger movements which will be one of the key factors in this arc.
The characters have been brilliantly brought to life by the voice actors. They allow for the expression of all feelings while giving the characters their own unique characteristics and touches. Every added snicker and sigh adds depth to the characters, bringing us closer to their thought process.
