Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6 Review: The sixth episode of the anime series premiered on August 31, 2023. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 (呪術廻戦 or Sorcery Fight) much-anticipated anime of this season, is finally out, and the fans cannot keep calm. Directed by Sunghoo Park, the show is animated under MAPPA Studio. With Sayaka Koiso and Tadashi Hiramatsu designing the characters, Yoshimasa Terui is the sole composer of the series. Tatsuya Kitani performed the opening theme, Where Our Blue Is (青のすみか), while Soushi Sakiyama performed the ending theme, Light (燈).
The anime is scheduled for two cours, the first five episodes adapted the manga’s Hidden Inventory arc, and the upcoming eighteen other episodes will showcase the Shibuya arc. Licensed under Crunchyroll, the episodes will be available with English subtitles, and the dubbed version will be released later on.
Based on the manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami, the story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to kill a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host. However, the new season will consist of various aspects of the story which the audience has been wondering about. Each episode has a runtime of 20-25 minutes.

The infamous Shibuya is finally getting animated, and the fans are equally estatic about it. However, although the arc contains some brutal moments that will everyone shocked, the new episode showcased the lighter moments showcasing the three lead characters of the anime. Yuji, Nobara and Megumi lead their simple high-school life, and we get a chance to experience a small part of it.
In the latest episode, half of it contains comedic elements involving the three characters, which helps us understand their relationship dynamic. Within a short span of time, they became extremely close to each other. From exorcising curses to spending their leisure time together, they have built a bond quickly.
Apart from that, the episode brings back the two bad guys of the series who have been creating havoc in everyone’s lives, Mahito and Geto. Right from their introduction, a sudden battle erupts with another character, which builds suspense and thrill surrounding the plot. Moreover, the episode ends on a cliffhanger which creates even more anticipation for the upcoming episode.

Needless to say that the animation by MAPPA Studio remains one of the best in the anime world. The team has very successfully showcased each scene with intricate details that keep the audience on their toes. Additionally, the team has achieved to seamlessly created a fusion of technical prowess and the art of creative storytelling.
The voice actors have also done a fantastic job of vividly bringing the characters to life. Every emotion can be expressed while they give the characters their own distinctive personalities and personal touches. When someone passes away suddenly, emotions are high, but the satisfying ending will make viewers feel conflicted.

The new episode serves as an introductory one before diving right into the Shibuya arc. The old characters have arrived with new goals and aspirations, which the audience can also relate to. From the Inventory arc, the new episode seamlessly shifts into the new one and makes us anticipate more. The plot has become more intricate, and one needs to thoroughly follow the plot to keep up with story. The fans eagerly await the next episode to find out what happens next.
