Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 13 Ending Explained: The thirteenth episode of the anime series titled “Red Scale” premiered on October 19, 2023. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 (呪術廻戦 or Sorcery Fight) much-anticipated anime of this season, is finally out, and the fans cannot keep calm. Directed by Sunghoo Park, the show is animated under MAPPA Studio. With Sayaka Koiso and Tadashi Hiramatsu designing the characters, Yoshimasa Terui is the sole composer of the series. Tatsuya Kitani performed the opening theme, Where Our Blue Is (青のすみか), while Soushi Sakiyama performed the ending theme, Light (燈).

The anime is scheduled for two cours, the first five episodes will adapt the manga’s Hidden Inventory arc, and the eighteen other episodes will showcase the Shibuya arc. Licensed under Crunchyroll, the episodes will be available with English subtitles, and the dubbed version will be released later on.

Based on the manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami, the story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to kill a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host. However, the new season will consist of various aspects of the story which the audience has been wondering about. Each episode has a runtime of 20-25 minutes.

The new episode showcased an intense battle between Choso and Yuji. Choso was thirsty for revenge from the moment he found out that Yuji was responsible for the death of his brothers, Eso and Kechizu. In the first season, Yuji and Nobara came across the two brothers who are called Death Painting Wombs, fully reincarnated cursed spirits and have flesh and blood of humans. During their battle, both sorcerers killed the cursed spirits which led to the creation of another enemy, the cursed spirits’ brother Choso.

What happened at the end of the battle?

At the start of the fight, Choso had the upper hand, however, Yuji quickly changed the game by tricking Choso into going inside the bathroom and splashing water all over the place. The water made Choso’s technique weak by dissolving the blood clots which he used to pierce through any surface. However, Choso had another technique up his sleeve which pierced through Yuji’s liver. Moreover, during the final battle, he managed to injure Yuji to the point where he was left unconscious.

Why did Choso see Yuji in his memories?

When Choso walks up to Yuji to give him the final blow, he suddenly starts to see memories which leaves him torn and discombobulated. He starts to see things in a vision-like sequence. However, the visions were nothing but fake memories that suddenly ignited inside his brain. In the memory, he could see his brothers Eso, and Kechizu and along with them, Yuji sharing a delicious meal. The memories confused him to the core and he runs out of the bathroom scared.

How did the fake memories trigger inside Choso’s head?

The fake memories could be a result of Choso and Yuji’s connection. As revealed in the manga, both Yuji and Choso are a direct consequence of Kenjaku’s atrocities. Even Yuji’s mother had stitch-like marks on her forehead, which means that Kenjaku possessed Yuji’s body as well. This makes both Yuji and Choso Death Womb Painting and that they are brothers. Choso got those fake memories because of his ability to sense his brothers and hence, it triggered a strange reaction in him.
