-Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 1 Review Contains No Spoilers-
The first episode starts with a bang and showcases the important yet overshadowed characters of Season 1. This particular arc will consist of the stories of young Gojo along with Suguru Geto and Shoko. Other characters like Utahime, Mei Mei and Masamichi Yaga will also be shown elaborately. This part serves to understand the history of the characters and where they came from.
If you are an avid follower of the manga series, it is no surprise to you to see Gojo and Geto together playing basketball. However, it might come as a surprise to anime followers as in Jujutsu Kaisen 0, Gojo kills Suguru Geto with his own hands. But their past and internal history goes a long way which will be shown in vivid detail in the Inventory Arc.
Certainly, it will be refreshing to watch Gojo as a student rather than a teacher and with a more casual demeanour. His personality is not as different from season 1, but it is definitely a tad bit childlike and filled with innocence. Moreover, he does not wear the famous blindfold anymore and puts on a pair of stylish sunglasses to control his power of six eyes.

Suguru Geto is the most surprising character of all, as watching him get along with Gojo is extremely unlikely. His hair is still tied up in a bun, and wearing his school uniform, he exhibits the nature of any other student of Jujutsu High. Shoko, who puts up an extremely serious expression at all times in the first season, is much more relaxed and fun, displaying the side of her which we rarely got to witness.
As expected, the animation remains splendid and at par with the previous season. Although the first episode does not contain many action sequences, it surely does prepare one for the upcoming episodes. Additionally, the background vibrant background music is another aspect of the series which makes it stands out from the rest. The voice actors have also portrayed their given roles exceptionally well, bringing every character to life.
