On March 7th, 2025, South Korean Boyband BTS member J-Hope Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel) MV was released and we love this beautiful song that soothes our hearts. The song is cheerful yet soft, and filled with a joyful vibe that comes from the smooth synchronization of Hobi’s voice with Miguel. The music video has also got a colourful and dreamy vibe that take you to another world through the many elements that are incorporated in the video.
Sweet Dreams is BTS’ J-Hope’s first digital single this year and fans have been looking forward to the release of the song since it was announced on February 27th, 2025. The eagerness for the song only heightened when J-Hope decided to give us an exclusive sneak peek at the song as soon as he started off with his HOPE ON THE STAGE world tour in Seoul on February 28th, 2025. Recently, J-Hope even revealed that he has worked with many other American artists on many songs and is excited to share them with fans this year; letting us believe that this song with Miguel is only the beginning of a wonderful year ahead.
Coming back to the music video, bringing us a serenade where the two musicians sing about love and a longing for the same, this track is certainly one that is soothing for the listeners. But the magic happens when you find yourself swaying along to the beats that also make you want to move around. There’s more to the magic of the song and we shall now talk about it in the review. The magic brought together by J-Hope and Miguel is something that cannot be put into words, but if we are still looking for something to describe this magic, we have to say that this is the song that we never knew we needed. From talking about Daydream to Sweet Dreams, j-hope has a way of bringing us to a dreamland that holds something new for us every time. However, what remains is the colourful vibe that beautifully reflects the singer’s aura that knows how to make everyone cheerful.
The way J-Hope and Miguel’s voices blend in this song is something that we cannot get over, as they not only sing a soothing lullaby to us all but also make us fall in love with the track that they have put together. J-Hope’s voice harmonises with Miguel’s deep yet smooth voice in a way that makes you play the song in a loop. Meanwhile, the lyrics are also something that we are having a hard time getting over. Filled with a longing for love, this song is what will bring a smile to your face no matter when you listen to it.
Moving on, we have to talk about the creative and beautiful music video that literally takes you to dreamland. The elements that have been added to the video perfectly match the vibe of the song; consisting of faces, people, things, and the extraordinary that you can only witness in an imaginary world that is beautiful yet unreal. The song begins with J-Hope entering this dreamland through a house floating in the clouds and ends with meeting his loved one whose face is not revealed because, in the end, this is a dreamland where the face is never revealed. Finally, he is seen sleeping in his room as the timelapse shows that this whole scenario was all part of his dream.
As we get to peek into his sweet dreams, this song comes to an end, putting a smile on our faces that we something open our eyes with when we too get to see a similar person in our dreams. I absolutely love this concept and how the singers put it together in this video, making me able to relate to the same because of how easily it has been put together for us all.
The song along with the music video is simply a masterpiece and I am excited for what more the singer is set to bring this year for us all.
