BTS’ most anticipated solo journey has begun with J-Hope showing that he is more than our Sunshine Hobi. With the release of his solo album Jack in the Box, he has brought out his individual style that has hit ARMYs around the world like a truck! Taking a step away from his bright and sunny persona, the K-pop idol has taken the darker route to show that he is more than what we’ve seen. He has taken a step forward in his musical journey and has made this album a way to broaden his spectrum as an artist.
On July 15, 2022, J-Hope released his first solo album Jack in the Box along with a music video of one of the tracks- Arson, which only further added to his wish to be more than a BTS member. He has definitely left behind the persona of the always smiling idol and has challenged himself to do something even better. And we have to say that he has done a wonderful job with this solo album.
The album is definitely a musical treat, with the flow that the tracks go in, we know that this is the journey of someone who wants to explore once again the life he has lived. J-Hope shows his curiosity, and agility for music as he tells the world that he is not the sunny member of BTS but the Jung Hoseok with no limits on his creativity. I love how he has played around with different genres to come up with such beautiful songs that don’t just keep you entertained but also make your thoughts go towards the message behind each of them.

J-Hope has not only worked on the songs for his album but has also been a part of planning the whole album, from the concept to the music video, everything has the artist’s passion for moving further. His individuality is the biggest part of this album and he has made sure to show that in every way.
J-Hope’s album has really opened up the path for BTS’ solo journey, building up the excitement that we’ve never seen before. Getting to witness the new sides of our favourite K-pop group is something that we are really looking forward to, but till then we’ll be streaming Jack in the Box on Spotify!
