When is Invisible Releasing on Netflix? All about The Japanese Cop Drama

Invisible (インビジブル) is a Japanese police drama that will be releasing Netflix. Kentaro Takemura, Takayoshi Tanazawa, and Masahide Izumi, the plot of the series, surround a police officer who is determined to punish every criminal on sight. His aggressive behaviour gets him into trouble until he recieves aid from the unlikeliest place.

The story is written by Yoshihiro Izumi, Ken Tsuchiya, and Takafumi Kosaka and has a total of 10 episodes with a runtime of 50-55 minutes each.

Invisible Cast

The series consists of an ensemble cast of many talented actors. Issey Takahashi as Takafumi Shimura, takes up the lead role alongside Kou Shibasaki as Kiriko/ Invisible. Other supporting and recurring cast includes Makoto Tanaka, Yoshi Sakou, Kiyoshi Isogaya, Akane Hotta, Motoki Nishimura, Moe Yuki, Taizo Harada, Kyosuke Tani, Kenta Kiritani, Kinari Hirano, Ito Ono, Ryouta Murai, Rihito Itagaki, Takenori Goto, Ginnojo Yamazaki, Kento Nagayama, and more.

Invisible Plot

The plot of the series surrounds Takafumi Shimura, a police officer who follows aggressive methods to take down criminals. He holds the firm belief that every lawbreaker should be punished and shows no sympathy for them. Due to his unorthodox ways, he is demoted from his position. His excessive behaviour landed him in an investigation team that exclusively works on unsolved cases.

However, his life turns upside down when Kiriko, who is an underworld criminal and crime coordinator, decides to work with him. She has a lot of influence in the crime world, and only very few people know of her existence. One day she opts to work with the police department to help them catch the nastiest offenders. But her only condition is that she will only work with Takafumi.

The duo joins forces to bring down the most dangerous criminals lurking in the streets of Japan. She provides invaluable information to him, and he uses his out-of-the-box and extreme approach to catch the felons. While searching for criminals, they come across various unusual cases that will leave you shocked. The trailer showcases multiple action sequences and intense scenes, the series looks promising so far.
