Insomniacs After School is a romance and drama anime based on a manga written and illustrated by Makoto Ojiro. The series is animated by Studio LIDENFILMS and is also known as Kimisomu Episode 10 and Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia Episode 10 in original Japanese.
The Astronomy Club suffered a terrible tragedy when one of its members committed suicide some time ago. The club and where they used to work, the observatory, are all lying empty without use. It is the perfect scenario for two outsiders who don’t know a better use for their time to accidentally meet and go on a journey that would change their lives forever. They haven’t lived much of their lives, to begin with, so it’s not that big of a deal.
Grumpy insomniac Ganta Nakami stumbles across the moderately rebellious yet easygoing Isaki Magari in the Astronomy Club’s abandoned observatory. Magari is surprised and tries to avoid a confrontation, only to be stopped by a broken door, forcing the two of them inside. The two forge an unlikely friendship, leading them to use the observatory as a safe space for them to interact and discuss the one thing that ails them both- inability to sleep.

As Ganta strives to gather the money and Magari just does her thing, we are getting ever so close to the fated summer outing to capture a photo that would ensure the survival of the Astronomy Club. Running a club with only two members must be hard, as all the work now falls on Ganta’s shoulders as Magari tries to balance everything with her Swimming Club. Still, Ganta isn’t complaining and will do anything to retain the spot he and Magari share.

With the reveal in the previous episode that she is going to be coming with Ganta and Magari to their trip, or at least as far as Magari’s grandmother’s house, thing could get really interesting for the pair. We can also anticipate a conversation between Ganta and his father as he could have to, or might want to, tell his father that he is leaving for a few days.
