Indu 2 Ending Explained: Who is Bulbuli’s Father? Who Killed Sougata? What is Poushali Hiding?

Indu (ইন্দু) is a mystery-drama series directed by Abhimanyu Mukherjee and stars Ishaa Saha, Suhotra Mukhopadhyay, Manali Manisha Dey, Chandraniv Mukhopadhyay, Manasi Sinha, Payel De, Mimi Dutta, Judhajit Sarkar, Tanika Basu and other cast members. Indu 2 has 8 episodes, each with a runtime of around 30 minutes.

Indu 2 Ending Explained

The season starts with Indu in a precarious situation in her in-laws’ home, with Sougata continuously badgering her and throwing questions her way. His continued doubts against her, however, end up being short-lived as, before long, he suffers from a stroke and dies. However, although the family members want this to be a simple case of bad luck, Indu knows better.

She suspects that someone is lacing his cigarettes with crushed datura seeds, confirmed by Inspector Samaddar later. The laced cigarettes ended up making him hallucinate and slowly poisoning him, which resulted in him suffering a stroke. The same substance was found laced in Laboni’s food that night that she died.

After forming several theories in her head and following a hundred different pieces of evidence, she eventually goes to Koushali’s ex-in-law’s home, from where she comes in contact with Koushali’s ex-husband. They have a short conversation in which Indu learns that Koushali’s daughter is not her ex’s.

Now with more twists, things come to a head when Koushali and Poushali try once and for all to scare Indu out of the house. Koushali hits Indu over the head so that she will be forced out of the house. However, the titular character still refuses to leave. With no other alternative, Poushali finally breaks down in front of Indu and tells her that it was she and Koushali who tried to scare Indu away from the first minute – they were behind the datura leaf inside the fish, as well as the other things.

It’s clear that Poushali is still hiding something, specifically the reason they don’t want Indu to stay in the house. She refuses to divulge further, telling Indu that the more she knows, the more her life will be in danger. On the other hand, Indu also gets to know that Sujato was the one who wrote the letter to Sougata on their reception night. For some reason, he wanted him to slowly suffer the pain of doubting and accusing his wife for the rest of his life. Unfortunately, his sudden death destroyed those plans.

Just as he is about to tell her the reasons behind his actions, they find another dead body in the courtyard – Charu Mukherjee.

So, who is Bulbuli’s father?

We don’t get the answer, but I have a sinking suspicion that there was something wrong with Sougata. Poushali mentioned that she didn’t want Indu to spend the night with him after their marriage. Does that mean that he’s some kind of deviant who can’t keep it to himself? It would explain why everyone wants to keep this horrible secret to themselves.

Could Sujato have killed Sougata?

Although he was about to say it, we see in the series that he was interrupted. I think Sougata tried his hand with Laboni and got her pregnant, and when Sujato got to know the truth, he enacted this twisted revenge scheme to get back at his brother. Sougata was clearly not someone to shy away from using force; we saw that clearly the night when Indu asked Koushali to sleep in her room.
