The Tale of Lady Ok is stealing the hearts of Kdrama fans as its intricately crafted plot pulls everyone into the twists and turns that the show brings to viewers each week. Besides the plot, the cast of the show is no less intriguing, because their performance is just that brilliant. Among the talented cast is our beloved lead, Ok Tae-yeong played by Im Ji-yeon, who is stealing our hearts.

While Im Ji-yeon is certainly showing her wonderful talent, the wait is getting harder to bear. The Glory follows a woman who carefully plans her revenge on her school bullies who ruined her life in the worst way possible. As she plays out her intricately designed plan, she gets help from others who begin to heal her.

The Killing Vote

Playing the role of a police officer in the Cyber Safety Bureau, Im Ji-yeon nails this role in her own way as she takes the audience through a life that is on the run. The eagerness and energy of her character can be felt through the screen as she is on a continuous chase and a rush to find the man behind the Dog Mask.

The Killing Vote follows a chase for an unknown virtual persona who gives the right to decide whether someone should get capital punishment for their crimes. As all citizens above the age of 18 get a message that they need to put down their vote, three people begin to chase the person behind the mask.

Lies Hidden in My Garden

Get ready to be surprised by Im Ji-yeon in this show as she shows the desperation of a woman who has been pushed to the edge by her husband and poverty. Suffering from domestic violence and a hunger that leaves her in pain, the actress really strikes a chord with the audience as she brings out the best of her character.

Lies Hidden in My Garden follows a woman living a wealthy life who one day notices a strange smell coming from her garden. This leads her to suspect her husband and meet another woman who has lived a life completely different from hers.

House of Lies

While the plot of this drama may not sit with everyone, Im Ji-yeon makes sure to have her character stand out like always. She shows the conflicting emotions of her character with a depth that really makes her shine as we understand her role is a way that is different from anyone else.

House of Lies follows a woman’s search for her missing sister who entraps her in a web that isn’t easy to escape. Helping her in this search is a detective with secrets of his own.

Casting a Spell on You

Im Ji-yeon is really a wizard when it comes to her acting skills as she is able to play out any character presented to her. Her diversity when it comes to the roles she plays is unlike any other; even here we see her take on a role that isn’t easy to play. She somehow plays out a role that really needed more working on and is able to create a magic unlike any other.

Casting a Spell on You follows a spoilt chaebol who returns home after his grandfather’s death only to find that his inheritance consists of a building filled with books. Having lived a fun life all this while, he starts a project to convert the building into a bar and pulls in a girl who is in need of money for this project.

Welcome 2 Life

Im Ji-yeon in this show is so different that it will take you a while to recognise her, but that doesn’t change the wonderful performance she puts up once again. Her versatility is unlike any other as she plays a character which is so different while adding depth to her that makes you understand the character just as much as the actress.

Welcome 2 Life follows a selfish lawyer who helps people take advantage of the law until one day he is pulled into an alternative universe where he fights to live a new life as an upright prosecutor.

Money Heist: Korea 2

Finally, we have Im Ji-yeon being the saviour of the heist team that gets caught up in a very edgy situation once in a while. Playing the character Seoul, she brings about some very intriguing scenes to the show with an aura that is hard to ignore and so easy to get caught up in. She knows how to stand out and we love this very aura of hers.

Money Heist: Korea follows a group of thieves who take over the mint of a United Korea. With hostages trapped inside, the police has to fail their plans before they get their hands on the money.
