Starship Entertainment’s 4th generation girl group IVE has now registered the I AM 6th win, and their overall 45th win and is on to even greater things than envisioned. Today’s episode of SBS’ Inkigayo marked the 6 members’ (Gaeul, Yujin, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz and Leeseo) sixth triumph after their latest comeback. Leading their first studio album that released in April itself, the title track has now attained a Real Time All-Kill (RAK), by topping several music charts.
This new Inkigayo win has also brought the Grand Slam title more closer to them than ever. Having recently begun their promotions for their new comeback, the K-pop group has now won all 6 music shows trophies they’d been nominated on. For today’s competition, they were up against their own pre-release song from the same album, Kitsch, and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo’s leading track Flower from her solo debut single album ME.
By clinching this feat, the group has now become one of the leading names in the 4th generation K-pop competition alongside groups like (G)-IDLE, ITZY, NewJeans, Stray Kids, THE BOYZ and IZ*ONE. Their previous wins for this comeback were recorded at the following music programs: SBS M’s The Show, MBC M’s Show Champion, Mnet’s M Countdown, KBS’ Music Bank, and MBC’s Show!Music Core.
Today’s Inkigayo schedule also saw performances by ONEWE’s GIUK making his solo debut with Time Machine (2100), HIGHLIGHT’s Lee Gikwang’s solo release Predator, TEMPEST’s Dangerous, DRIPPIN’s Seven Sins, ALICE’s Show Down and more. IVE is now preparing for their first Japanese EP Wave‘s release slated for May 31, 2023. The release schedule for the same has also been revealed on their official Japanese Twitter handle.

In addition to I AM, other songs performed by the group to have reached a Real Time All-Kill are LOVE DIVE, After LIKE, and Kitsch. Having debuted in 2021 with the single album Eleven, the 6 members of the group came together as their entertainment label’s first girl group in 5 years after WJSN’s debut in 2016. The girl band also shares the same record label with K-pop boy groups MONSTA X and CRAVITY and soloist Jeong Sewoon in addition to other names.
