Hunter With a Scalpel Episode 2 Recap
There’s a flurry with the new murder case, as Se-hyun decides to go to the crime scene with Jung-hyun to get to the bottom of the case, much to the misery of everyone around them. Se-hyun is immediately wary of the crime scene, realising that it has a lot of similarities with her own past. She directs Jung-hyun to check the CCTV around the area and leaves with many thoughts.
Both Se-hyun and Jung-hyun face flak from their respective departments thanks to their thorough nature and militantly sticking to the rules. While Se-hyun fights with her colleague, who wants her to write the Nam Seung-hyup case off, Jung-hyun fights against he apathy of his coworkers who would rather lounge around than look further into their predicament.

That night, Jung-hyun goes through all the CCTV footage while Oh Min-ho, who was being followed by the serial killer, gets attacked in his apartment and is murdered. Meanwhile, while checking in on her mother, Se-hyun divulges the details of the case to the press. The next morning, there’s pandemonium and both Se-hyun and Jung-hyun find themselves at the receiving end of the hatred from their departments. Meanwhile, Se-hyun finds shocking evidence in the stomach contents that take her back to her past. When the results of the autopsy come back, she is further dumbfounded at her past coming back to haunt her.
Hunter With a Scalpel Episode 2 Review

With another episode out, Hunter With a Scalpel is focusing a bit too much on petty workplace drama instead of letting the murder and the investigation take centre stage. Half of the runtime follows these adults acting like immature brats as the two “different” protagonists face the brunt of their colleague’s abuse. I feel like I am already bored, but there’s 14 more episodes to go so maybe I will be left shocked by the end of it.
