Netflix’s Turkish dystopian sci-fi mini-series Hot Skull (Sicak Kafa) is finally here and is definitely a piece of art you wouldn’t want to miss. With numerous twists and turns that come along with the chase, the plot will keep you intrigued right till the end while the actors will leave you wanting more with their performance.
Created by Mert Baykal, the series stars Osman Sonant, Hazal Subasi, Sevket Çoruh, Sebnem Hassanisoughi, Ozden Isiltan, and Özgür Emre Yildirim, alongside other cast members.
Netflix’s synopsis of the show reads:
IN A DYSTOPIAN WORLD, AS AN EPIDEMIC SPREADS THROUGH VERBAL COMMUNICATION, A TYRANNICAL INSTITUTION PURSUES A LINGUIST IMMUNE TO THE DISEASE.
Hot Skull Ending Explained
The final episode of the Turkish show Hot Skull brings Murat to a corner as Fazil overtakes his plan by planning a bombing to get rid of all his enemies- the ones outside and inside AEI. Once again, the episode starts with a glimpse of what is to happen throughout the episode as Murat finds out that his connection with Haluk is deeper than he has known.
With big trouble coming his way, Murat makes sure that no one is left behind as he plans an escape route for everyone. He rushes to Ozgur to find out what really happened back when he was given the hot skull, only to find out that he wasn’t the only one who was experimented upon.

Ozgur reveals that what happened to Murat was a miracle as though he was the one chosen by Haluk himself. This pushes Murat deeper into his curiosity as he rushes to meet Haluk to find out what is really happening to him. On the other hand, everyone is preparing to leave Zone 6 and Istanbul.
Ready for a chaotic day, Murat and Sule finally share a passionate night before the storm arrives. The next day, Fazil wages war on Zone 6 while combining Zones 4 and 5 where Anton’s family is hidden.
Blaming the bombing on Plus 1, he declares his desire for revenge for all those who died at the newly built lab. This creates panic among the members of Plus 1 who are divided between escaping and giving them a counterattack. However, they are unable to solve this when AEI soldiers enter to strike them down.
Murat, Sule and Arif escape together, however, Arif is shot and taken to Ozgur’s house to hide. While Ozgur lets them inside to temporarily treat Arif, he asks Murat to choose a side- the people at Plus 1 or himself.
Murat is unable to understand why he is doing this and rushes Arif to the hospital where it is known that Arif is in critical condition. And it doesn’t take long until he breathes his last.
Angered, he rushes to Haluk but gets nothing in return, instead, he reveals his special conditions to everyone present at the hospital and is determined to fight- against the disease and the people using it for their greed.
After a funeral is held for Arif, they are all ready to escape from Zone 6 while Murat finds out that Haluk was found in a forest that seems exactly like the one he saw in his dreams. Now, Murat, Sule, Viktor and Anton are ready to leave Instanbul along with Haluk with the help of Erdem but Ozgur gives them away to the AEI.

Erdem informs them of what has happened and opens a new route for them, by plane. They reach the docks soon where Anton says goodbye to the team to rescue his family.
Fazil finds out what is happening and rushes his men to the docks, however, they are one step too late as the group escapes on time. Murat sets the destination to Bolu forest- the place where Haluk was found while a message plays on the radio which was left behind by Murat.
He shines a new ray of hope for everyone suffering because of the disease while warning Fazil of what is to come. While he gives Sule the headphones to listen to the message, he finds an incoming call on her phone.
He picks up the phone to hear Fazil calling out for his daughter.
Will there be a Hot Skull Season 2?
With such a spectacular ending that has obviously come with a big cliffhanger, we can say that a season 2 for this show is definitely a must! The disease is yet to find a cure, the AEI and Fazil are still going strong and the mystery attacked with Haluk is yet to come out. Not to forget there is also the big mess that is to happen between Sule and Murat; all this need answers.
Hot Skull season 2 is something we all need, however, news regarding this is yet to be confirmed which is a bummer for the viewers. But let’s hope that this show gets another season because the stakes for what is to come are high and we would really like to see how this group is going to find a cure.
Also, I am really intrigued by Haluk who is a big mystery and can also be the main reason behind the beginning of this pandemic. And I would also like to see more of Murat and Ozgur who are at a really weird stage of friendship right now.
So let us hope that there is a Hot Skull season 2 because we really want some answers!
