Heavenly Ever After Plot
Remembering the words of her husband, a woman in her 80s decides to keep her appearance unchanged when she reaches heaven. Hoping her husband would also keep his appearance the same as when he passed away, she is stunned when she sees him standing in front of her in his 30s version.
Lee Hae-sook lived a happy life with her husband, who loved her immensely and always admired her beauty. He would always compliment her and would also assure her that she gets prettier with age. Upon his death due to an accident, Hae-sook became the head of her household overnight and worked hard to support her family alone. Finally, at the age of 80, she dies, and upon reaching the Heaven Admission Counseling Office, she chooses to live as she is now- at the age of 80. This is because her husband told her that she is the prettiest at 80.
Finally, she reunites with her husband, Ko Nak-joon, and is surprised when she finds him looking like a 30s version of himself. Nak-joon is also surprised to see his wife in her 80s, and turns out, she is the only person to do so.
Meanwhile, Ko Nak-joon works as a postman in Heaven, delivering letters filled with wishes from Earth. He built a pretty house in Heaven and waited for his beloved wife all these years. Now, as the couple finally reunites, they begin their life in Heaven. But with this difference in appearance, will the two be able to adjust to their new life with just their love alone? What will this new adventure be like for them? Will their love triumph over appearances?
Heavenly Ever After Cast
Directed by Kim Seok-yoon, the show stars Kim Hye-ja as Lee Hae-sook, Son Suk-ku as Ko Nak-joon, Han Ji-min as Som I, Lee Jung-eun as Lee Yeon-ae, and other cast members. The Our Blues actor Kim Hye-ja is back with another spectacular role alongside A Killer Paradox actor and Unframed director Son Suk-ku.
Heavenly Ever After Release Date and Time
Heavenly Ever After takes over JTBC’s Saturday and Sunday 10:30 PM KST time slot previously occupied by The Art of Negotiation. The show is set to release on April 19, 2025, and will continue to broadcast until May 25, 2025. The Kdrama consists of 12 episodes, which will be broadcast on jTBC and will be available for streaming on Netflix.
