The major aspect of the episode are the humorous events that kept the episode light and thoroughly entertaining. It picks up from where the previous one ended, where Maru and Kiruko find shelter during their journey to ‘Heaven’. However, they are offered another job and asked to save two people who are victims of yet another ‘man eater’. But things take an unexpected turn when the monster turns out to be a wild animal instead.

From the events of the story, there’s another incident that clues in about Maru’s superpower, that is; it only works on the said deadly creatures. He is unable to cause any harm to normal beings rather, be it an animal or humans. It makes one wonder if the power is designed specifically to counter the ‘man eaters’ and if it is a consequence of the Collapse, which means the power developed through a series of evolutionary processes or if he was being experimented on specifically to weaponize his body. It remains unclear on the full extent of his ability; however, much development happened in the latest episode.

Kiruko, on the other hand, is showcasing the vulnerable side of herself. She is constantly being held down by her past trauma, which causes her severe mental distress. The event that occurred in her past life also affects her present, and she is filled with insecurities. Moreover, it still remains unclear about her gender and how she identifies herself as. Even though she feels like a man from the inside, she also constantly displays feminine behaviour, which proves otherwise.

Coming to the relationship dynamic of the lead protagonists, it keeps evolving with each episode. If one day they seem merely like two people trying to survive the brutal outside world, other times they display intimate behaviours that indicate they are a lot closer to each other than they initially seemed. Nevertheless, they care deeply about each other and continue to stay by one another’s side.

Meanwhile, things are getting further complicated inside the walls as bizarre events keep taking place. Another threat to the children living inside is a disease that can prove to be fatal to them. Additionally, certain dream-like events seem too real not to be true and constantly make the audience question the ongoing circumstances.
