The new episode does not fail to intrigue. From start to finish, the plot gets increasingly in complex as certain events continue to be confusing. However, it also includes some emotional moments that provide a better understanding of the characters. Either way, the series keeps getting interesting as time goes by. The added conspiracies behind the mysterious and unexplainable events make the episode more exciting and thrilling.

The relationship dynamic between Maru and Kiruko keeps evolving. With each new episode, both characters seem to grow closer to each other. Even though Kiruko is only appointed as Maru’s bodyguard, she cares for him deeply. It is the same with Maru, who values her presence at all times. Moreover, we get a clearer perspective of Kiruko’s thoughts and feelings as an individual. Bounded by trauma from her past, her mental state is clearly disturbed, which was one of the major elements of today’s episode.

Considerable development of the characters has been done, which allows the audience to create a natural attachment with them. They are becoming more relatable after showcasing a vulnerable side. Maru’s potential and ability are considerably displayed which makes us wonder about his upbringing. Even though a short backstory about his childhood is shown, we do not receive an entire picture of his life that could explain his unnatural strength.
