Head Over Heels Episode 6 Recap
The episode opens with Seong-ah crying at Gyeon-woo’s doorstep, having found the lip balm that he had thrown away. Thankfully, he comes back and finds her on the road and takes her inside to dry her off. There, she finds the pictures with the amulets drawn on them and discloses to Gyeon-woo that whoever drew them was targeting Ok-soon, not him.
She tells him that they either have to burn the pictures or she can talk to the person who cursed the pictures to take their wish back. Gyeon-woo begs for her to help him keep the photos and questions whether she has been toying with him with Yeom Hwa. Heartbroken, she promises to help him and tells her that she had never met Yeom Hwa before the night he caught them.

However, in the meantime, he goes to talk to Yeom Hwa and convince her to remove the curse on his grandmother, and she, in turn, curses him as an exchange. Immediately, she realises that he has an ally on his side and is left stunned. At home, Seong-ah performs a ritual to remove the curse on Ok-soon. Elsewhere, Ji-ho follows Gyeon-woo and is left shocked to see him getting in a car with Yeom Hwa.
She goes to his house to perform the “cleansing”, and Ji-ho alerts Seong-ah immediately. At his house, Yeom Hwa finds Ji-ho’s figurine, but right then, Seong-ah arrives and snatches it from her, telling Gyeon-woo to keep it safe. The two shamans face off against one another, and Seong-ah immediately reminds Yeom Hwa that she’s not in control anymore. Back at home, General Dongcheon puts a curse on Yeom Hwa, full aware that she is digging a grave for herself as well.
At Gyeon-woo’s, he is left shocked when he overhears that Yeom Hwa would’ve burned his photos either way and does the deed himself. With nothing left to control him with, she takes her leave. Seong-ah confronts her for calling Gyeon-woo “Newly Dead”, but looks on in horror as Yeom Hwa is hit by the curse. Seong-ah asks her to beg her patron deity for forgiveness, but she remains unflinching. Either way, Gyeon-woo’s heart melts for Seong-ah as he realises her concern for him.

Later that night, Yeom Hwa goes to the abandoned building and tears through the protective amulets to speed up the process of the entity inside killing another person and becoming an evil deity.
The next morning, Gyeon-woo tries to get a word in with Seong-ah, but she, instead, spots a ghost around Gyeon-woo, pushing Ji-ho to constantly touch Gyeon-woo to save his life. Suddenly, she spots a bunch of “egg ghosts” all around Gyeon-woo and rushes home to find a solution to the problem. That night, Seong-ah and her family arrive at the abandoned house to ward off a ton of ghosts in a dramatic and action-packed event!
That night, Ji-ho keeps an eye on Gyeon-woo by constantly touching him and keeping the ghosts at bay while he watches the documentary on Seong-ah’s life when she was an 8-year-old shaman. She shares her past with her family as well, and they get into a tight embrace as Flower Master and General Dongcheon comfort Seong-ah. Gyeon-woo, too, realises Seong-ah’s true intentions and feels terribly about his actions.

The next morning, Kim Jin-woong, while fleeing his abusive father, runs into the abandoned building. However, he is immediately attacked. Meanwhile, Bok-i fetches Seong-ah from class, and she deliberates on going inside the building. After shooting her mother a message, she goes to rescue Jin-woong, and Gyeon-woo follows her. As it turns out, Gyeon-woo is not Gyeon-woo and is now possessed by the evil demon!
