Happy Birthday Johnny Depp: 3 Offbeat Films By The Actor That You Must Watch

Johnny Depp, who can be aptly called the Master of Disguise, turns 59 today. John Christopher Depp II, born on 9 June 1963, is an American actor, producer and musician, famously known for his role in the Pirates of the Caribbean series as Captain Jack Sparrow. But little did you know that he actually started acting on actor Nicolas Cage’s advice who told him to try a career in acting. Following that he made his debut in the horror feature film called A Nightmare on Elm Street in 1984.

From then on we all are witnesses to his accolading career, where he proved his acting prowess and versatility as an actor through films like Edward Scissorhands (1990), Alice in Wonderland (2010) and the Fantastic Beasts series. These films made him a household name, but also distorted their view of Johnny Depp, as they couldn’t figure out what he actually looked like in real life.

Therefore, today on his birthday we are taking a look at the top three offbeat performances by the actor that are a must-watch. Usually from his early career, they can be called ‘offbeat’ as Johnny Depp appears in his true essence with no disguise in sight.
