Gunther’s Millions is a Netflix docuseries showing the rich life of a German Shepherd and the mastermind behind the Gunther empire, Maurizio Mian. The limited 4 part series shook the viewers as dark truths were exposed, leaving everyone agape. The amount of information the docuseries provided clearly showed Maurizio’s power.
While the docuseries was directed to show the bizarre story of Gunther, his riches, how it was given to him and what sort of life the dog is living, fortunately, we got more insight about the genius, Maurizio. Apart from that, the viewers were also shown the troublesome lives of his crew members, whom Maurizio ruled due to his pursuit of happiness.
Who is Gunther?
Gunther is the dog of the late countess, Carlotta Liebenstein. However, the current dog is not the same German Shepherd to which the fund was given. Apparently, when the countess’ son Gunther died, he had a pet of the same name, Gunther III. Soon, Gunther’s legacy was made by breeding the dog. The current canine is Gunther VI. The dog is the owner of a $500 million fund, and its caretaker is Maurizio Mian.
Who is Maurizio Mian?
Maurizio Mian is the son of a famous pharmaceutical heir and the owner of Gunther Corporation. Gunther’s original owner, the countess, was a close friend of Maurizio Mian’s mother. When the countess died, she transferred the fund to Gunther’s trust and asked Maurizio’s mother to handle it. When Maurizio’s mother died, eventually, the mastermind took over.
Similarly, Maurizio Mian is the friend of the countess’s late son. When Gunther (the countess’ son) died by suicide, Maurizio decided to execute an experiment per the countess’s wish to find the cure for depression and the root of happiness. However, this is where Maurizio’s ideologies became disturbing.
Speaking of Maurizio’s personal life, he was a successful student and worked as a professor until age 37. Later he became the heir to the pharmaceutical company of the countess. Currently, he is one of the wealthiest Italian entrepreneurs. Maurizio married Carla and shares a son with her. After their divorce, he married Cristina. As of now, he is still the caretaker of Gunther and is living along with him.
What did Maurizio do with Gunther’s Fund?
Truth be told, all the current estates, businesses and other properties are not really from the countess rather they were all bought and built by Maurizio. Using Gunther, the man developed a whole empire and conducted various experiments. He even debuted a pop group that was led by his ex-wife Carla. While initially, the pop band was used to promote Gunther, it soon took a turn and became a science study.
Maurizio was obsessed with science like the Countess. The band members practised all the 13 commandments the Countess wrote in the trust will. She wrote them on behalf of her late son because she too wanted to find out why her son, despite having every riches decided to end his life. If you read the commandments, it is evident that science and sex are their core. Hence this is why Maurizio executed an experiment, but it did torment some of the group members’ lives.
Maurizio also bought Pisa’s football team and recruited two famous Italian pornstars. Maurizio was the centre of attention back in time because he was legitimately breaking certain limits. Nevertheless, he had a powerful legal team who silenced every allegation imposed on him. One of the most prominent accusations he faced was making Gunther inseminate Christina.
Did the German Shepherd Dog Really Inseminate ristina?
The world was shocked when the news broke out that a baby girl was born for a dog and a human. Maurizio faced terrible accusations for taking exploiting Cristina with his experiment addiction. However, the truth is it was all a scam. The girl child was born to Maurizio and Cristina. To make Gunther famous, Maurizio planned to build the scandal. Soon, Cristina also split up with Maurizio.
It is known that Maurizio himself is fighting depression. Cristina explained how his mood swings terribly affect the people around him. When his friend died of suicide, it seems like Maurizio was affected terribly by his loss. When he pushed himself to find how people can be happy forever, his routes went in multiple ways. From mansions to underworld business, Maurizio is a genius who doubled up a dog’s trust fund and became the heir to plenty of businesses.
