Viewers are waiting with baited breaths for Great Expectations Episode 3. The series started with a dark and gritty tone and with a cliffhanger ending (well, not for the readers, at least), it will be an exciting thing to see how the story of Pip moves forward.
The period drama, Great Expectations, is by Peaky Blinders’ Steven Knight and is based on the classic by Charles Dickens of the same name. The production companies involved are Scott Free Productions, Hardy Baker & Son, BBC Studios and FXP. The main characters in the series include Olivia Colman as Miss Havisham, Fionn Whitehead as Pip and Shalom Brune-Franklin as Estella. Together, we have Ashley Thomas as Jaggers, Johnny Harris as Magwitch, Hayley Squires as Sara, Owen McDonnell as Joe, Trystan Gravelle as Compeyson and Matt Berry as Mr. Pumblechook. Brady Hood directs the released episodes of the show.
What Will Happen in Great Expectations Episode 3?
The preview description for the next episode of the series reads: “Having left his life in Gravesend, Pip (Fionn Whitehead) has a brutal introduction to London, working for Mr. Jaggers (Ashley Thomas). Meanwhile, Estella (Shalom Brune-Franklin) discovers a plan of Miss Havisham’s (Olivia Colman).”
The preview for the third episode shows how Pip has inevitably fallen in love with Estella but, is not exactly the right man that is going to marry her. He needs to be a gentleman first. Thus, the upcoming episode will focus on Pip’s journey of becoming a gentleman in the pursuit to have Estella. All this while, we will also have Miss Havisham brew a plan that will, of course, benefit and protect only her interests.
When Will Great Expectations Episode 3 Release?
The third episode of the series is scheduled to release on April 2, 2023, on Hulu. Much like the previous episodes, we can expect the upcoming episode to be 30 to 60 minutes long.
