The period drama is from Peaky Blinders’ Steven Knight and is based on the classic by Charles Dickens of the same name. The production companies involved are Scott Free Productions, Hardy Baker & Son, BBC Studios and FXP.
The main characters in the series include Olivia Colman as Miss Havisham, Fionn Whitehead as Pip and Shalom Brune-Franklin as Estella. Alongside them, we have Ashley Thomas as Jaggers, Johnny Harris as Magwitch, Hayley Squires as Sara, Owen McDonnell as Joe, Trystan Gravelle as Compeyson and Matt Berry as Mr. Pumblechook. The released episode has a runtime of approximately 50 to 60 minutes.
In the latest episode of the show features more of Pip’s story, beginning from the fortune and goodwill of the benefactor he gets to his love, Estella set to marry someone else. The third episode does a lot of unloading, preparing us for more of the tragic yet determined story this book to series adaptation has to tell. We especially get to see the sinister and tragic side of Miss Havisham along with Estella’s cold heart and Pip’s determination to become a ‘gentleman’.

Watching the latest episode, one of the viewers tweeted: “I’m really enjoying the Great Expectations miniseries on Hulu so far. It’s a new adaptation of the Charles Dickins classic. Great Expectations is literally one of my most favorite stories ever. This has been amazing casting.” Another viewer wrote, “Ok, so far “Great Expectations” on @hulu is good. I’ll be interested to see how closely it adheres to the story, but the look of it is perfectly dismal in the way it should be, and acting and costumes are both on point.” Let us have a look at more such reactions below!
