Good Morning Veronica Season 3 Ending Explained: Does Veronica End Her Nightmare? Who is Doúm?

Plot Overview

In the third and final season of Good Morning Veronica, we see Veronica try to end the reign of terror of Cosmas and Damian Orphanage and the Orden of Faith and find out who Doúm is. The three-episode season shows Veronica fighting against corruption and the cult’s terror as her daughter gets abducted, which leaves her to come out of the shadows and take the bull by the horns. In doing so, she falls right into the trap of Diana and Jeranimo and fights for her life and the lives of several others.

Good Morning Veronica Season 3 Ending Explained

When the third season starts, we see Veronica going to Monte Azul, right to the doorstep of The Order of Faith to get some answers. Unfortunately, the gates are closed and soon after, she is chased by a goon and runs right into the arms of a charming man called Jeramino who seems to have all the answers that she is looking for. Veronica, walking around as a journalist, questions his intent but believes him eventually when he tells her that his mother, Diana, was also abused at the hands of the Order of Faith.

After building a rapport with the help of the horses on his farm, Jeranimo and Veronica spend a night of passion at the farm before eventually leaving. Unfortunately, Veronica soon realises that Jeranimo isn’t who he says he is when he receives a photo of him with Matias Cordeiro and Cláudio Antunes Brandão and realises that Jeranimo is Doúm but before she is able to react, the police take her away and Jeranimo abducts Carol and Angela.

Jeranimo takes the girls to his farm, which turns out to be a holding place for women whom he uses to impregnate and then sells the babies off while selling some of the other women off in auctions. As Veronica tries to find her daughter and save Angela as well, she decides to walk into the lion’s den while Matias, after breaking out of prison, goes to the farm as well to get Angela.

Veronica is abducted and imprisoned after watching one of the women being killed right after giving birth while Matias dies a horrible death after making insinuations that he and Jeranimo were romantically involved when they were young. Jeranimo tries to ‘tame’ Veronica using his usual tools but she refuses to give in. In the meantime, Diana grows more and more desperate after she isn’t able to get her fertility back while becoming jealous of Jeranimo’s obsession with Veronica. The latter runs off when Jeranimo and Diana are distracted but ends up chained once more when he threatens Lila.

How Does Veronica Escape the Stable?

During one such auction, Veronica convinces one of the women with access to the house to join her mission and free. Although she is scared at first, she decides to help Veronica and poisons the guards before freeing Veronica and all the other women. The women then go out on horseback and attack and kill the auctioneers while Jeranimo makes a run for it. Unfortunately, he is apprehended and shot by Veronica in the stables.

What is Veronica’s Relation With Jeranimo?

As it turns out, Veronica is one of Diana’s many children whom she birthed thanks to the violent abuse that she faced at the Order of Faith. That makes her Jeranimo’s sister as well. We get proof of that from the tattoo that Veronica and all of Diana’s children have on their necks.

Why Does Jeranimo Want Veronica?

Jeranimo and Diana wanted to have ‘pure’ children together but since that wasn’t possible (because of her infertility), he honed in on Veronica as the next best candidate.

How Does Diana Die?

Diana dies during a face-off with Gisele Cordeiro, who arrives at the farm to get Angela. Both the women are shot but Diana ends up taking her own life after seeing her son die in front of her.

Are All the Women Able to Get Out Alive?

All the women successfully escape their captivity and everyone is seen living a happy and free life. Gisele is also alive in the hospital thanks to Diana shooting her on the farm.

What Does the Last Scene Signify?

Now out of the police force, Veronica and her friends from the farm have gathered together in a secret location to hunt down the men who were at the auction and who did not face any justice. In the last scene, Veronica, with her newfound vigilante army in tow, sits in front of one of the bound and gagged auctioneers and tells him to inform the others that she is coming for them and that she isn’t alone anymore, signifying that they will seek justice when the law lets them down.
