Girl From Nowhere: The Reset Episode 2 Review: Weird But Hilarious

The premiere episode introduced us to a boy named Sky, a victim of severe bullying. When he decides to end his life, Nanno appears and helps him take revenge on his bully.

Okay so, this might be one of those episodes that make sense but also is super weird. The episode begins with Nanno’s voice stating how the world wishes to see a triangle thing (vagina) without consent and what happens post that. The scene shifts to three girls complaining to their school principal regarding their panty pictures that are posted online without their consent and with their photos attached to it.

Instead of taking action, the principal shames the students for dressing up wrongly and seducing the boys. This pisses off the girls. The principal then leaves her room after telling the girls to show the school around to the new girl, and that is none other than Nanno. With Nanno walking around and introducing herself, boys start to swoon.

Soon, people seek Nanno’s panty pictures and the three main boys who’re behind this illegal activity, get money from the students in exchange for Nanno’s panty picture. Their first plan miserably fails after the girls find the camera in their dressing room. After this, the three boys set up so many cameras around the school so that they can get what they want.

But ever the clever Nanno doesn’t give it to them easily. Firstly, she Doi’s mindset by mentioning about his small penis with a mole. He feels embarrassed and scared regarding his secret. Secondly, she makes a dog bite the genitalia of Markkaw and he merely escapes with one testicle.

For the third boy, who is the main culprit, Mr. Peck, Nanno prepares something special. She goes to his home and he sets a camera inside their home’s restroom and tries to trick Nanno into drinking juice so she can use the restroom. However she finishes all the juice tins and doesn’t pee. Given the students who paid money start to raise questions, the guy decides to forcefully take pictures of her.

However, she grabs his arms, twists it and takes pictures by herself and tells the result will take time. The whole evening, Peck waits for his phone to load the picture and he finally gets it. The picture is passed around and all the guys start pleasuring themselves. The following day, the school honours mothers and Peck’s mother is the principal. Ew.

As the program starts, the screen is displayed with all the illicit pictures of the girls and a video showing the three boys setting up the camera. This makes the principal collapse and eventually her panty is shown, proving that it wasn’t Nanno’s picture but Peck’s mother’s picture. Feeling ashamed of actually looking at his own mother’s panty and fantasising, he feels pathetic.

The students then start attacking the three boys and tie them to a chair. Nanno then puts a headband that keeps the guys’ eyes open and with tears welling up in their eyes, Nanno lifts her skirt revealing a panty with her name imprinted and the episode closes.

Everything was going great until the end, man. The concept was good, the actors did a great job, the reality was shown such as girls being moralised instead of the guys being questioned. But the ending… it was so weird. At the end, Nanno lifting her skirt and showing her panties literally is proving the whole point and wish of all the boys.

The twist that is the principal’s son enjoying his mother’s picture was predictable. However just when the ending felt really good like Karma slapping on the boys’ face, Nanno’s end actions messed the concept for me.
