Gehraiyaan Release Date Postponed; Posters for Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday Out

Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Dhairya Karwa’s Gehraiyaan is one of the most-anticipated films of early 2022. A few weeks ago, the makers teased us with a small teaser. The actors’ chemistry and the song used in the promo left a great impression on fans. However, the Amazon Prime Video India release is now postponed.

Directed by Shakun Batra, the film explores beneath the surface of complex modern relationships, adulting, letting go, and taking charge of one’s life path. The team also unveiled new posters for every character along with the new release date. The posters also revealed the names of characters played by each other.

Birthday girl Deepika Padukone will play Alisha, Siddhant Chaturvedi’s name is Zain in the film. Ananya Panday plays Tia and Dhairya Karwa is named Karan. Gehraiyaan posters have actors in quite an intense mode. The posters also give us a glimpse of these characters’ phone conversations with each other. For example, Alisha messages Zain, “I miss you”. Zain responds, “Then come see me tonight”, to which she replies, “Tonight is too long a wait.”

The film, which was earlier slated to release on January 25, will now stream on Prime Video on February 11, 2022.

Deepika herself shared the posters and wrote, “A little birthday present for all the love you have showered us with!❤️ #GehraiyaanOnPrime releasing 11th February!”
