Forecasting Love and Weather episode 15 starts with, for some reason, Ha-kyung’s mother interrogating Si-woo about what he does and about his parents. Meanwhile, Ha-kyung is tending to Si-woo’s father who has a lump in his lump. Just, right off the bat, I really don’t understand why people would do this. Why doesn’t anyone in this series have an idea about boundaries?
Infuriatingly, we stay with Si-woo’s father asking for more money from Ha-kyung and further adding that she doesn’t tell Si-woo anything about the lump. Everyone is in quite a sad mood, with Ha-kyung and Si-woo both wondering where the relationship is going. Meanwhile, Yu-jin and Ki-jun grapple with the idea of whether they should keep the child or not. She makes valid points but Ki-jun isn’t sure yet.
On the other hand, Si-woo’s father is all of a sudden very touchy about his son not knowing about his diagnosis. He constantly calls Ha-kyung, I am guessing because he’s scared, but it goes to show that he’s pretty selfish, again, because he keeps calling her during work hours. Ha-kyung, on point with not having boundaries or understanding Si-woo’s trauma, haggles him to call his father.

So now that his father is sick, Si-woo needs to forget him taking away his son’s money to gamble? The man doesn’t have a place to stay because his own father stole from him. So now he should do more emotional labour? Being sick doesn’t immediately negate your past injustices just as it doesn’t make you a good person all of a sudden. And Ha-kyung gives no shits about Si-woo’s struggles at all.
Meanwhile, Dong-han makes plans to celebrate her daughter’s birthday. The girl wants to eat out with her parents, and his wife gives him all the information. You know something is going to go wrong just from this interaction. Either way, as the team tries to figure out whether this cold spell will last longer, KI-jun again uses Ha-kyung as his therapist and I must now wonder whether she has absolutely no self-respect. I understand talking about work, that’s a given, but why about personal matters? Wasn’t it enough that he cheated on her?
Also, Si-woo’s father having this complete 180-degree turn just feels ingenuine. As he asks her why they broke up and whether Si-woo did something wrong, it feels like he’s standing there to find another way to get money from his already-broke son. Anyway, Si-woo apologises to Ha-kyung for reacting the way that he did and regrets reacting like that whenever they talk about his father. Si-woo is overcome by emotion when Ha-kyung says that she understands his predicament. To no one’s surprise, he asks her whether they should get back together since he still likes her a lot.
However, that conversation is cut short when the director of Chief Team One starts harassing Ha-kyung because his ego is hurt. Like, full-blown putting hands and shoving the director of another team. As Si-woo tries to stop the madness, Seok-ho calls Dong-han back to the office. In the meantime, the Chief Team One Director gets a punch in the face accidentally and, for some reason, comedy music starts playing? I am so confused.

Remember how I said that Bo-mi’s birthday party is going to go up in flames? Yeah, for some reason, Dong-han chooses to go back and take care of these adults who are apparently behaving like children in the office. And the conflict gets solved too easily with the most jokey attitude. I am so confused about the tone of the series. Meanwhile, Ki-jun tells Yu-jin that whatever decision she will make, he will welcome it with open arms since he is ok with either of the outcomes.
For some reason, Ha-kyung’s mother is very angry at Tae-kyung for making out with Seok-ho. Granted, the way she finds out is a bit shocking. But she’s acting as if her daughter isn’t a 40-year-old divorcee. It’s so annoying. Meanwhile, Ha-kyung, wanting to get her way, drops Si-woo at the hospital to see his father. He gets to know that his father has third stage cancer and that it’s not looking that great. Overcome by emotions, he starts crying by his bedside while Ha-kyung looks in. Right then, the police come in to arrest his father for insurance fraud. On the other hand, Yu-jin is going through terrible stomach pain, most probably going through a miscarriage.
Final Thoughts: Forecasting Love and Weather Episode 15

I am just so angry! This series has been such a disappointment after starting off so strong. At this point, it hardly has any substance and instead of wrapping things up, it comes at you with more and more things. For some reason, serious situations are played off as funny when a second ago we were expected to be concerned about the same thing. They totally destroyed Dong-han’s growth for a petty feud and Ha-kyung’s mother is the most nosy, annoying part of this show who just keeps on showing up everywhere. I feel suffocated just watching her trying to control two 40-year olds but she just doesn’t relent.
The series has just gone downhill after the first few episodes and now it’s just a chore to watch because, unfortunately, we have watched the first few.
