I-soo will learn that his stepmother had an affair and someone who has found out about it with proof, threatened her to get money. Seung-ju who gets directly threatened by Daechoon would have found more hints on who initiated such a foul plan. To stop his mother’s worries and to put an end to the men who tried to blackmail and gain money, Seung-ju would have planned something. However, the murder plan wouldn’t have been his as he knows the risk.
I-soo will try to find the truth to save his brother as he knows Seung-ju is the type to protect and not destroy. I-soo’s father will face media backlash for the case as the news regarding his wife’s affair might come out. Amidst all this, Kang-hyun and I-soo’s romance will bloom as the only person now he feels he can rely on more apart from Mr. Choi is Kang-hyun.

Kang-hyun couldn’t shake the memory of administering CPR to I-soo and the anguish she felt when he was unconscious. The recollection brought a flush to her cheeks as she pondered the intensity of the moment. However, their focus quickly shifted when the police received a tip about a body. Arriving at the specified location, I-soo recognized it as his father’s residence.
Approaching I-soo’s stepmother for information, Kang-hyun inquired about the deceased man, only to be met with dismissal. Seung-ju arrived, offering solace to his mother but displaying a hint of something hidden beneath the surface as the officers departed.
News of the incident spread, tarnishing I-soo’s father’s reputation as he stood for election. Kyung-jin uncovered the identity of the deceased, Daechoon, a businessman, and arranged a meeting with his family. Daechoon’s wife revealed his descent into gambling and subsequent disappearance months prior, assuming his demise.
Autopsy findings revealed a grisly demise—strangulation followed by stabbing. Despite his wounds, Daechoon had made his way to I-soo’s father’s home before succumbing. Investigation led to a suspect, Hwang-sik, a gambling expert who confessed witnessing the attack but denied involvement.
Surprise struck when Daechoon’s call logs implicated Seung-ju, casting suspicion upon him. I-soo confronted his brother, learning of their encounter during their father’s biography release. Seung-ju’s private conversation with Daechoon lingered in his mind as I-soo departed. As news of I-soo’s illegitimate status surfaced, Jongtae’s political maneuvering exacerbated his distress. Kang-hyun attempted to provide support, but I-soo’s turmoil remained palpable.
A breakthrough emerged with the apprehension of the final suspect, leading them to an abandoned location. Pursuing a figure in a hoodie, I-soo and the officers captured the killer, revealing a bruised woman in the trunk. Shock set in as I-soo discovered the hooded figure was none other than his own brother, Seung-ju.
