Fire Force Season 3 Episode 10 Recap

The episode begins with Sho reflecting on his encounter with Shinra through the Adolla Link. Though their meeting was brief, it left a lasting impression on Sho, who is still puzzled by the strange sense of warmth and connection he felt, a bond he suspects may be familial. Driven by a desire to understand those feelings, Sho decides to leave the hideout. However, each time he attempts to escape, someone stands in his way, until Arrow finds him.
Surprisingly, instead of resisting, Arrow tells Sho there’s no need for threats; she’s more than willing to assist him. With her help, Sho sets off on his journey to find Shinra. Meanwhile, Shinra awakens from his extended rest and joins Company 8’s emergency meeting, where they discuss their next steps as fugitives. Hibana also attends, warning the group that the Great Cataclysm is fast approaching.

Amidst the tension, the episode delivers a few lighthearted moments. Hibana blatantly flirts with Shinra, prompting Iris to stir the pot by playfully pairing Hibana with various men. The mood becomes even more chaotic when Scope randomly bursts onto the scene and rambles about bizarre, unrelated tales.
Eventually, Scope does share something critical. The preparations for the Great Cataclysm are complete, and the unification of the physical world and Adolla is drawing near.
Fire Force Season 3 Episode 11 Review

In this episode, we see that a widespread panic ensues after a pillar erupts from the sea. Not only that, a huge robot-like creature also comes up and charges towards the city. Company 8 watches everything happening on their television, and Shinra asks Obi to let him go to stop this new entity. Though at first Obi is not sure whether he should let Shinra do whatever he wants, he finally relents after he understands that Shinra might be able to stop the robot.
At the scene, Company 2 of the fire force comes, and we also see Director Oguru and Kurono there. They converse about how Kurono does not really want to be at the scene but has to because of the director. Kurono claims that he will absolutely destroy everything if that entity comes to the shore, and Oguru even agrees to that. In the meantime, all the weapons that Company 2 uses to stop the robot fail.

However, these attacks could have caused more damage if they had hit the pillar. This is why, the moment Juggernaut tries to shoot a cannon towards the creature, Shinra comes and gets hit instead. This is a bizarre scene, but Kurono goes into the sea to save Shinra. Here, we finally understand why one should not shoot at the pillar behind the robot, as it acts like a plug on an undersea volcano. If anyone shoots it and obliterates the pillar, the magma underneath will erupt and destroy all of Tokyo.
After saving Shinra, we see Kurono completely unleash his power. However, while all of this was happening, a member of the evangelist came and got his hand on Shinra.
Verdict

Today’s episode was much better than the previous ones, as we finally see something happen. This season mostly had very average and unimportant episodes, but this one felt like the story was coming back on track. Now that we’re almost at the finale of this season, we can expect more important aspects that will showcase how things will end in Fire Force.
