Filthy Rich Episode 6 Recap: Nothing Can Stop This Fight Now!

[Filthy Rich Episode 6 Minor Spoilers Ahead]

Filthy Rich premiered on 22nd September 2020 on Disney+ Hotstar. The series is created by Tate Taylor for the Fox Broadcasting Company with a new episode scheduled to release every week. The series seeks inspiration from a New Zealand series of the same name, starring Kim Cattrall, Gerald McRaney, Melia Kreiling, Aubrey Dollar, Corey Cott, Steve Harris, and Aaron Lazar.

The Monreaux Must Fight

Filthy Rich Episode 6 titled ‘Hebrews 9:15’ continues the fight between the Ladies Table (which is kind of abolished but who knows) and the men of 1820. After the release of Governor Virgil and Love’s sacrilegious tape, recorded by our dearest Ginger Sweet, the Monreaux lose their factory rights to produce the perfume they promised their subscribers, and the ones stored in the warehouse go missing. Things are getting difficult for Margaret to handle and her house of cards seems to be crashing hard. On the other hand, we see Eric taking a stand against Reverend Paul Luke Thomas as he realises how they have been building themselves on ruins of the poor and his mother has no idea about it.

Later, Ginger releases the tape of her kidnapping and now Margaret needs her to tell the world that she wasn’t the one involved in all this. Ginger being herself, she takes up the opportunity and puts forward a demand – again money! Honestly, Ginger’s reactions and continuous efforts to push away Margaret and get money from her in her very own Ginger way are tiring and annoying. We understand that she is hurt and what not but it is just very inconsiderate of her to put down another woman who wasn’t the one who conspired against her. All she has been trying to do is to save her family from what her husband Eugene has done. And that’s ok. Period.

Furthermore, Margaret finds out from Luke that Tina (Rachel York), Ginger’s mother, had been harassed by 1820 of which Margaret was unaware. After the tapes are released, Eric and Rose, completely unaware of all this, side with Ginger. It’s all sweet and lovey-dovey until Ginger starts being Ginger!

As compared to the previous episode, this episode unveils a lot more slowly but there are enormous character developments going around. The journey that starts with everyone being just a puppet is developing into every character having their own separate storyline and lives.
