Hindi cine-buffs have yet another reason to head over to the theatres this week, and we have Alizeh Agnihotri’s debut Bollywood film, Farrey to thank for it. Directed by Soumendra Padhi, known for the TV series Jamtara: Sabka Number Ayega, the upcoming thriller flick has been written by Padhi alongside Abhishek Yadav, and its nostalgic title may take North Indian audiences back in time to their schools when these tiny cheating paper chits landed many in trouble.
Pushed forward and presented under the banners of Salman Khan Films, Reel Life Production Pvt Ltd, this film, however, doesn’t have strong plans to remind you of the good old days, rather it shines some enlightening light on what happens when “genius” plans backfire and vicious schemes trap you in for the worst possible outcome. A huge team of producers has pushed for Alizeh’s big screen debut, with Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar, Sunir Kheterpal, Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, and Nikhil Namit believing in this young-adult drama number. Will this new Friday release reel in big numbers and shape into being the latest crowd-puller? We’ll have to wait for the big cinematic premiere to find out!
Farrey Plot / Synopsis
Alizeh’s Niyati is an orphan prodigy, who, after topping her 10th class board exams, is granted a scholarship that lands her into an elite school. The new switch obviously brings her closer to new people, who eventually become her friends, but this rich lot introduces her to a scheme that will pull in loads of cash – a cheating racket. Unlike common means adopted by desperate students who resort to unfair means during their examinations to get better marks, this under-the-table kind of partnership raises the stakes unbelievably, which further reels in unthinkable amounts of money. Will she be able to pull herself out of this dangerous cycle and remain unharmed in the process?

As mentioned before, with this movie coming up as Alizeh’s big screen debut, she’ll be seen as the double-fold newcomer at Winston International, India’s most expensive school in the fictional world. Juhi Babbar, Ronit Roy, Sahil Mehta, Shilpa Shukla, Zeyn Shaw, Prasanna Bisht and others.
