Fairy Tail: 100 Years Episode 8 Recap

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Episode 9 Review Intense Internal Fights

This episode brought us joy with some long-awaited romantic moments between the main characters. Erza discovers her doppelgänger, Elkis, who works at the entertainment guild Fairy Nail. Interestingly, all the members at Fairy Nail resemble those from the Fairy Tail guild. We are introduced to Natsu and Lucy’s look-alikes, Nakku and Lusha, as well as versions of Gray and Juvia named Gren and Juvina.

However, these characters have very different personalities and professions compared to their Fairy Tail counterparts. Nakku is an actor, Lusha is his manager, Gren is a pole dancer, and Juvina is a topless dancer. The rest of the Fairy Nail members also find their roles in the entertainment industry.

Notably, Nakku and Lusha and Gren and Juvina, are deeply in love, which is a stark contrast to their original counterparts.

Elkis also struggles with understanding love, which she needs to master before her upcoming stage performance. But the real highlight of the episode was the unexpected arrival of the wood dragon god. After Natsu and his team located him, they faced a new challenge: how to seal such a massive creature without causing harm to those nearby.

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Episode 9 Review And Recap

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Episode 9 Review Intense Internal Fights

Today’s episode was action-packed, and it started off with the revelation that the white mage has complete control over the Fairy Tail Guild members. Not only that, but Touka also plans to include Natsu and others in her possession. Her brainwashing capabilities are so strong that Fairy Tail members even start to beat each other and take beatings under the command of their new master, as we saw with Mirajane.

Thankfully, with Wendy and Gray’s arrival, Natsu, Lucy and Erza were able to escape with extreme difficulty. Here, Juvia finally reveals Touka’s primary intentions. She plans to white out or control the five dragon gods so that she can use their powers at her will. Touka tried to do that with Mercphobia, but he got stopped by Natsu. Thus, this time, she intends to use a different strategy and utilise the strongest Guild, Fairy Tail, to get hold of the dragon gods. Hence, to put her plans into motion, she approached the Fairy Tail Guild and now is actively hunting its members for that.

But there is one way by which our heroes can save their friends. If they somehow managed to separately defeat each member and knock them out, Wendy could bring them back to their original selves. This opportunity also arrives, but the question is who will face off against some of the strongest members of Fairy Tail when the majority of them are villains now. But I must mention that Natsu is the only person who is beyond ecstatic to finally have the chance to fight against his teammates.

The storyline from now on is definitely going to be the most interesting aspect of this series yet. A face-off between our beloved characters is something that brings forth nostalgia and sweet memories of the good old days. Just that it would have been much appreciated if their fight had been more playful rather than serious.

Verdict

Today’s episode was again very intriguing, and I’m definitely looking forward to witnessing a full-on display of all the Fairy Tail member’s powers. I am sure Natsu and company will be able to get each and every one of their friends back to normal.
