Fairy Tail: 100 Years Episode 4 Recap

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Episode 5 Review: The Rage Of Water God

The episode begins with Jelal confronting Touka about being the white mage, which she vehemently denies, insisting he’s mistaken. She claims to only know water magic but struggles to explain its source. Just as she’s about to be captured, Laxus intervenes, declaring that regardless of who she is, she’s now family and will be protected. Meanwhile, Natsu, Wendy, and Erza are held captive on Diabolo’s ship.

Lucy, Happy, and Carla are desperately searching for their friends. Lucy uses a boat to track Diabolo’s ship, and unexpectedly, they encounter Brandish, who delivers a shrunken Gray to Lucy. Brandish updates them on the Spriggan 12, revealing that the group has disbanded, with many members leading different lives or already dead. She no longer considers Fairy Tail an enemy and even shares her intention to locate Aquarius’s key, revealing it’s on Guiltina.

Later that night, Erza breaks free from her brainwashing and, with Natsu and Wendy, fights their captors. However, the episode leaves us with lingering questions about Touka’s true identity. Despite her innocent appearance, Jelal wonders if she’s hiding something more dangerous.

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Episode 5 Review And Recap

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Episode 5 Review: The Rage Of Water God

Today’s episode was full of many emotions and actions. Here, we see Natsu and company fighting against the members of Diabolo with precision and quality. Natsu completely overwhelmed the villains, and they had to flee their position. But before that, they mentioned how they are not the only ones who are dragon eaters. There are more people in their team who are far more sinister than the ones we see.

But the problems are not over yet. Even though Diabolo is not interested in the Water God anymore and has resorted to hunting Touka instead, Natsu and his friends must find a way to help Mercphobia somehow. Natsu has grown a soft spot for the dragon after seeing how much he cares about his subjects and friends. Hence, he genuinely wants to help and find a way to stop the water God without killing him.

Perhaps this is why when Natsu sees Ermina completely destroyed, he rushes towards the city to help its inhabitants. There, he sees why Elefseria wanted to stop Mercphobia in the first place. Mercphobia has completely lost control of his powers and has gone absolutely berserk after being attacked by the Diabolos. But how is that possible when Touka has already taken all his powers? The thing is, Touka did not take his magic, but rather, she took his ability to control his powers. Now, it is Natsu’s responsibility to stop the water God from destroying the very people he has saved all these years.

Elsewhere, Touka is being a menace as she has finally outed herself in front of others. She reveals her true goals and also her predicament with Touka, the white mage. Touka herself might not be a danger, but her white mage self is evil incarnate and should be stopped at all costs.

Verdict

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Episode 5 Review: The Rage Of Water God

Today’s episode was intense and heavy on emotions as we see Natsu being desperate to save Mercphobia. He does not want to be the one to kill a good soul as he can see how much everyone loves and respects Mercphobia. Karameel, especially, is devastated to see Mercphobia’s predicament and, hence, requests something from Natsu that also destroys her soul. Hopefully, Mercphobia will be saved by Natsu and his team.
