-Emergency NYC Review Contains Description of Graphic Scenes-
All kinds of unusual medical cases are shown in the eight-part series. From complicated pregnancies to high-risk organ transplants, some cases are so unbelievably exceptional that it makes one rethink all the things that the general public is unaware of about the medical industry. Nothing was left to the imagination as the surgeries were shown explicitly and comprehensively.
In the first case, we are introduced to a victim of gun violence who was in need of immediate medical assistance. It was unbearable and difficult to watch the 17-year-old boy struggle to stay alive following the gruesome event. The doctors at the hospital also gave their undivided attention to the young patient. Moreover, he was also seen consoling the victim’s mother which only shows how important it is for medical professionals to maintain an empathetic connection with the family members.
Another case heart-touching case is of a police officer in need of an immediate kidney transplant to continue living a normal life. However, for a long time, he was unable to find a donor until some offered to help anonymously. The donor was his partner from the police force. He decided to remain anonymous because he did not want to make the recipient feel indebted towards him. It was rare to witness an act of selflessness in this ruthless world where everyone looks out for only themselves.

A few gut-wrenching cases will make Grey’s Anatomy look like any other normal show. When a woman was in the hospital bed in need of an immediate kidney transfusion, the package handlers’ flight was delayed. The instance could have resulted in causing serious brain damage to the patient and possible death. Additionally, another case about a 30-year-old man with a huge tumour at the back of his head could easily make one nauseous.
Besides some nerve-racking cases, the series also gives an extensive look at the first responders who are always on duty and on call to save anyone. Ambulance drivers Kristina McKoy and Vicky Ulloa are a pleasant sight to behold as they have constantly been seen working relentlessly to save multiple lives while also dealing with personal issues. A full-circle moment is attained when two of the professionals are admitted to the hospital, one welcoming their firstborn while the other battles an impossible disease to live another day.

Emergency NYC Review: Final Thoughts
From emergency medical technicians, helicopter nurses, trauma doctors, pediatric surgeons, and transport coordinators to doctors and surgeons, we get an exclusive look at the life of a medical professional in New York. They are not just saving lives but forming invaluable connections with people around them that help us appreciate life. It is also an extremely educational experience as many concepts are explained in detail to the audience.
The only drawback of the series is that it will be more relatable to people in the medical field. Some of the terms used would be foreign to many people. This might limit the audience. Moreover, the intricate surgeries shown in graphic visuals will be uncomfortable to most viewers.
