The new season of the reality show has become another big display of drama and misunderstandings. If the previous season was criticised for its focus on superficiality over substance, the latest season takes all the ridiculousness to new heights. However, amidst the glitter and extravagance, the limelight shifts to relationships and equations at a personal level.
While “career” and ambitions were the main focus for everyone, the new season was packed with a lot of conflicts and insecurities between the contestants. Yet, in a world where the set is embellished with luxury and the issues at hand seem trivial, it becomes challenging to take anything seriously.
What I never liked about such reality shows is that they never try to bring any sincerity to the “problems” of these people. Viewers are expected to become emotionally invested in the chaotic lives of these individuals, but the lack of genuine engagement often leaves you agitated. Perhaps it’s time for such shows to make their problems not only a little bit believable but also entertaining.
Among the contestants, the ones in the spotlight for most confrontations and dramatic episodes included Embraheem Al Samadi, DJ Bliss, Zeina Khoury, and the ever-controversial Sada Siddiqui. Despite professing a desire to resolve conflicts mutually and steer clear of tension, these grown-ups resorted to behind-the-scenes chatter to air their grievances. Why is the communication so bad in a show that is all about everyone wanting to talk over each other?
Dubai Blind Season 2 also served as a stark realisation that, as viewers, we might have reached a saturation point for content of this nature. The repetitive nature of frivolity, where individuals are dressed in glamorous outfits, adorned with shimmering accessories, and engage in loud and petty fights, raises questions about the enduring appeal of such shows. Superficial discussions on topics like women’s empowerment, polygamy, parenthood, and empowerment failed to bring any sincerity throughout the series.
The primary issue with the Netflix reality show was the absence of a solid objective. The contestants, whining that their personal issues are worse than the larger problems plaguing the world, come off as annoyingly self-absorbed. Without delving into spoilers, one contestant’s quest to settle down and marry the perfect man unfolds, complete with an exhaustive list of terms and conditions. While the show briefly ventures into matchmaking mode, the quest for love fails to deliver the anticipated excitement.
Dubai Bling Season 2 Review: Final Thoughts
Overall, Dubai Bling Season 2 seems to have lost whatever shine it possessed, which wasn’t particularly great to begin with. Watch it only if you want to binge on something that doesn’t require too much of your brain.

I liked the 1st season! Season 2 the voice translation is annoying just talk English we hy do we need a translator they didn’t have 1 last season. I couldn’t finish the season because of this.
Total crap waste of time. Can’t compete with quality shows out there. Not even the “trash ones” turned off after 3 mins. Pass on this
