Dr Stone: New World Part 2 returned back like it never left us. The story seamlessly picks up from where it left off also providing enough context before diving in. Apart from creating the Nitric acid, Senku builds more interesting devices which ultimately will be responsible for saving the world. Moreover, some of the most beloved characters are back again on-screen.

Although Senku is one of the most crucial characters in the story, the entire plot does not heavily rely on him. This creates a variation in the plot and introduces different characters that have an important part to play. It keeps the story fresh and unpredictable rather than following a repeated pattern. Nevertheless, Senku has also made a substantial character development based on how he relies very heavily on his friends.

Ryusui is an extremely fascinating character and at the same has a sense of familiarity which brings the viewers closer to him. He is lively and exciting, however, he also has a sense of responsibility for others. He is quick-witted and a delight to watch his thought process and steps to carry out a plan successfully. Moreover, from the outside, he might come off as an arrogant person but he also displays his vulnerability sometimes and does not shy away from asking for help.

The pacing of the episode remains smooth and steady. The objective of the episode is clear and stated right at the start. However, the entertaining aspect is the journey and the process of achieving it. The characters come up with inventive solutions to the problems that keep the plot gripping and compelling. One of the series’ most notable qualities is its emphasis on science and meticulous attention to detail.

Additionally, it is important to point out that the series is not very “ambitious” with a high production value but it has a lot of substance to the plot. It does not need those things for it to keep the audience hooked for the long run. The wholesome and fun scenes provide an instant boost of dopamine.
