Do Gubbare Episode 3 Review
Diwali is knocking on the door. Manu has had a successful heart transplant and is completely out of danger, although she isn’t allowed to find out who her donor is, which is the norm in such cases. Aajoba takes Rohit to his old friend Vinayak who is a tailor, to get himself a new kurta for the upcoming occasion. Finding out that Aajoba won’t be having anyone from his come over, Rohit decides to stay back and not go home. Episode 3 shows how Rohit is trying to keep Aajoba company; this is another simple sign of the former’s affection for the latter.

Do Gubbare Episode 4 Review
It’s Diwali Eve. A video call with Ashwini and Sara (wife and daughter of Aajoba’s younger son Shravan) only adds to Rohit’s discomfort about not knowing what happened between Aajoba and Shravan. He finally finds out from Aajoba that Shravan is no more. Aajoba misses his younger son dearly, as is evident when he goes through his pictures. Meanwhile, Rohit gets a call from his colleague Kartik who is shifting to Delhi. Rohit now joins Aajoba in the journey of longing that comes with close ones going away. Episode 4 ends with Aajoba falling ill.

Do Gubbare Episode 5 Review
Aajoba’s return from the hospital makes Rohit take up the reins of a son who needs to take care of his father. Aajoba, too, finds a son in Rohit, although he may not have realised it yet. Ashwini and Sara arrive to give Aajoba company, and he calls for a dinner outing, inviting Manu as well. However, Manu doesn’t turn up. Rohit finds out from Aazob that Ashwini and Sara will be shifting to his place. This makes Rohit wonder about his place in their home and whether he should stay there. Manu gets her hands on the file of her donor.

Do Gubbare Episodes 3-5 Review: Final Thoughts
While Rohit is lost in thoughts about his place in Ajoba’s house, the file in Manu’s hand has Shravan’s name on it. In other words, Shravan is her donor. The way the plot goes beyond the lives of Aajoba and Rohit to link them is surreal. The two have grown fond of each other and we do not know how this secret, if and when it comes out, will affect them. Only Episode 6 aka the season finale can tell us that. Personally, the way the makers have woven the plot receives praise. There are no hard feelings involved anywhere and it’s just life that is pulling the strings here. This is what gives the show its feel-good vibe.
The first five episodes of Do Gubbare are streaming on JioCinema.
