Ditto is the title of an upcoming B-side track by the mega-hit girl group, NewJeans. After taking over the K-pop industry with their debut songs Attention and Hype Boy, the group is ready to take over the winter season with a new single. Along with the track, they will make their first comeback with the new year.
With the moving teasers, the group posted the exciting news on their social media handles, with the title ‘NewJeans of Winter.’ In the two teasers, their names are inscribed in white & red colour, while a rabbit jumps across – matching the winter festive aesthetic. For the third teaser, they posted the written lyrics of the song in the teaser.
The lyrics read, “Oh say it Ditto“, which will probably make the chorus of the song and other lyrics read – Do you want somebody Like I want somebody. Looking at the lyrics we might be getting a romantic festive song, which will surely get added to everyone’s playlist.

The new album is titled OMG and will be released on 2nd January 2023. The album was first announced last month when their label ADOR stated that they are gearing up for a comeback. Moreover, ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin commented that if the debut album showcased NewJeans’ summer, this single album will be one that showcases NewJeans’ winter.
ADOR is a subsidiary of Hybe Corporation which includes many big groups like BTS, TXT, Seventeen, Le Sserafim and many more. The super rookie group is composed of five members – Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein. Although they debuted in July of this year, with their hit songs, they have built a big fan following from fellow celebrities and the public alike.
Even the group name is a figure of speech which alludes to the idea that jeans are a timeless fashion item and the group’s intention to carve a timeless image for themselves. The name is also a wordplay on the phrase ‘new genes’, referring to the group ushering in a new generation of pop music, which they certainly stand true to.
The song Ditto will be released on December 19, 2022, at 6 PM KST.
