Destined With You Episode 1 Recap
The first episode of the show began with an introduction to Lee Hong-jo (Jo Bo-ah), a righteous and dutiful civil servant who gets transferred to Onju City Hall’s parks maintenance department. While Hong-jo has a hard time adjusting with her new team, she takes on the major responsibility of the demolition of a haunted shrine after the death of a YouTuber at the deserted place.
As for Jang Shin-yu (Rowoon) there’s a mystery curse affecting him. While a red hand haunts him, it’s also revealed that he’s suffering from a genetic disorder that may affect the senses in his hands and legs. The answer to his pain and suffering though lies in a mystery wooden box that is hidden at the shrine.
After meeting a shaman who used to take care of the shrine before it became an abandoned location, Shin-yu learns that only the owner of the mystery box can help him save from his condition that person is Hong-jo. After starting off on the wrong foot at the beginning of the episode when they have an unexpected meeting at the shrine, Shin-yu reaches out to an upset Hong-jo outside the city hall and offers to help her but doesn’t reveal that he needs her help too.
Destined With You will be available to watch on JTBC and will stream on Netflix in select regions.
