Demon Slayer Season 4 Episode 7 Recap

This episode stands out as the best of the season, delivering all the elements fans have been waiting for. It propels the plot forward with significant developments, starting with Tanjiro successfully moving the boulder to its destination and earning recognition from the strongest Hashira, Himejima. Himejima acknowledges that, unlike others who make selfish decisions in danger, Tanjiro remains selfless and humble, never seeking praise for his achievements.

Himejima also shares his tragic past, when he was unjustly accused of being a murderer. The episode also reveals an unexpected connection between Himejima and Zenitsu, relating to Kaigaku, shedding light on Zenitsu’s unusually grave demeanour. Known for his light-heartedness, Zenitsu’s serious expression hints at something significant.

Tanjiro continues his training journey, reaching Giyu’s place, where he witnesses Giyu and Sanemi engaged in a friendly but serious fight. Their light-hearted banter ends with Sanemi leaving after being unintentionally embarrassed by Tanjiro’s innocent words.

The episode’s conclusion sets the stage for the next when Muzan infiltrates Ubuyashiki’s house and finds him bedridden. The animation and cinematography are exceptional, enhanced by fitting music. However, the villain’s slow-motion walk that did nothing for the main plot felt unnecessarily prolonged.
