Deliver Me Ending Explained
The series starts with Bilal’s death and the ensuing investigation. Douglas, initially the prime suspect, baffled everyone by his alleged involvement in his best friend’s murder. Arrested at fourteen, he seemed unaware of the gravity of his actions, perhaps due to intoxication. Despite his minor status, he adamantly resisted police custody. Farid Ayad, familiar with both Bilal and Douglas, conducted the interrogation. Initially silent, Douglas eventually confessed that Mehdi Bah desired Bilal’s demise, shedding light on the tragic event.

What Happened to Dogge?
After Dogge was sent to the Juvenile centre, Mehdi’s associates assumed control of the facility and abducted Dogge. Overwhelmed by Mehdi’s influence, Dogge lost all hope upon realizing his power. He was informed that he would owe his life to Mehdi from then on, owing to his involvement in trouble. Douglas, grappling with addiction, stumbled upon drugs and indulged without hesitation, anticipating punishment but instead bonding with his captor. By this point, Dogge had resigned himself; he harboured no illusions about his future and accepted a life of servitude to the gangsters.
Dogge’s trajectory took an unexpected turn when he attempted to intimidate and rob Sudden’s department store. The proprietor, a long-standing victim of Mehdi’s gang, had fruitlessly sought aid from the authorities. Driven to desperation, he took matters into his own hands and incapacitated Dogge with a baseball bat, immediately regretting his actions. Dogge was rushed to the hospital, but his injuries proved fatal, leading to his demise. In a tragic twist of fate, the closest of friends found themselves united in death.

Why Did He Kill Billy?
Bilal struggled to remain in the gang, wanting to quit both drug dealing and carrying weapons. Seeking aid from his family and Officer Farid, he aimed to leave that life behind. An incident where he and Douglas were ordered to set fire to an enemy’s car pushed them to consider involving the police. Threatened with social services and juvenile detention, Bilal couldn’t risk abandoning his impoverished family.
Another incident arose when Bilal was entrusted with a gun that his younger brother, Tusane, stole without his knowledge. This led to severe consequences, including threats from Mehdi. Bilal realized he needed to escape before it was too late, supported by his mother’s efforts to break free from Mehdi and the gang. Despite his father’s attempts to gather ransom money, the gang demanded more, leaving Bilal to consider fleeing to Nigeria with his uncle to start anew.

Douglas, like Bilal, suffered under the gang’s torment but lacked family support due to his father’s death and his mother’s struggles. The prospect of Bilal abandoning him weighed heavily on Douglas, who proposed accompanying him to Nigeria, but Bilal declined, causing rifts in their friendship. Mehdi tasked them with a final, gruesome mission, but Bilal refused, sparing Douglas from the consequences. Feeling betrayed and cornered, Douglas, armed with the gun that had caused them trouble, fatally shot Bilal, his longtime friend, in a moment of desperation and anguish.
