Deep Fake Love Plot
5 couples test out their love and the strength of their relationship by embarking on a journey driven by AI! The couples are split up and start to share a house with other attractive singles to see whether their original relationships really are that strong or if there is more to learn about their partners. In between that, the show will produce deep-fake images and videos to confuse the participants and force them to choose whether what they are seeing is real or fake. Whoever goes out the other end together will win a grand prize.
Deep Fake Love Finale Review
Previously, the gay couple Alejandro and Ramón took a view at each other’s fake and real videos before concluding their love is real and happily returning back home. In the Deep Fake Love episode 8, the remaining four couples were invited one by one to view each other’s videos and finalise their relationship’s next step.
Firstly, Manuel and Aida stepped in for their evaluation. Before Aida could even speak, Manuel kept shaming her for her actions that he saw in the previous white room evaluations. After the two settled down, their fake videos and real videos were shown. What baffled me was the shameless act both of them put up despite knowing they’re not saints.

Likewise, all the remaining couples acted like holy grails making me wonder how scripted this show can be. An amazing performance was by Ángel (I lost my patience). He clearly knows he messed up and there’s a legit video evidence in front of him, yet he had the nerve to propose marriage to Gabriela. Thankfully, that woman declined and declared their love as fake.
Basically, this finale is nothing but a way to ignite anger inside the couples and split them up. Except for Isa and Rubén, all three couples broke up before the show ended, and the look on the host’s face screamed that she wanted this to happen.

How Much Glycerin Did They Invest In?
The way each couple tried to overpower one another and overshadow one’s faults gave me icks. You know what else made my skin crawl – their tears. The women were bawling their eyes out and the next minute, their cheeks were dry. The same goes for the men who randomly dropped a tear out of nowhere.
Did the show’s makeup crew keep pouring glycerine into their eyes and then give them a touch-up? I can’t understand what’s so good about making a show with grown-up adults throwing tantrums. The funniest part was the host standing up, watching them break down and questioning everything internally.

Decoy Actors
This isn’t a special mention but I’m disturbed by the fact the paid actors had to re-create sexual scenes so the team could deepfake with the contestants’ faces. How much did they pay these actors because it’s so sad to see them getting exploited. These actors were merely objects who were guided to act out nasty explicit scenes. Who knows how many takes they had to go through to get the perfect shot?
The worst part was, some of the contestants developed feelings for these actors. But those very actors went ahead and recreated terrible scenes, knowing that it was going to damage the reputation of the contestant they were pretending to be in love with. This shows how some people are least bothered about human feelings.
Final Thoughts
In the end, three couples won the prize leaving Aida and Manuel feeling sad about it. Seriously? They both were supposed to feel bad that their wedding was called off but here they are. Deep Fake Love is an absolute torture but one good thing about it is, it really opened these lovers’ eyes and helped them cut off red flags in their lives. Though the show feels scripted, it is an eye-opener for the couples out there blinded by love.

Deep Fake Love is streaming on Netflix. If you’ve watched the finale, let us know your thoughts in the comment section.

Does each winning contestant get 16,667 Euros or 50,000 Euros?
50,000 euros each definitely
Trashy! This is not worthy the entertainment tagging. Totally fake from end to end. If not then the couples are completely idiots or they really wanted that and get the show worse pretending they would not.
The tag is just for the category and we totally agree that nothing was entertaining in this show!
