In one of the most highly-awaited films of the year, our Pathaan has now transformed into Jawaan, and choosing the best Shah Rukh Khan Jawan look isn’t simply difficult, but also nearly impossible. The pan-Indian action thriller flick releasing in theatres on September 7, 2023, has created huge waves as a commercial mas entertainer right after its first few shows of the premiere date. Atlee’s first Hindi directorial also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Riddhi Dogra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureishi and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles, with a stellar special appearance by Deepika Padukone as well.
The high-octane action film co-written by Atlee (screenplay also by S Ramanagirivasan) has been distributed in the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages internationally. Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma produced the film under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, and it’s unlike any other SRK project done before. With all ambitious factors and efforts considered and credited, Khan’s numerous smashing looks in the film have been making noise among the fans since the early days of the first look, poster and prevue release dates.

You’ll have to scroll down to the bottom of this article to catch our favourite pick.
Jawan Shah Rukh Khan Looks
1. Back in His “Villain” Era, Ready to Prove the “Power of a Common Man”

Remember Khan chanting “never underestimate the power of a common man” in Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express? Well, he’s taken those feeling words recited on a loop to heart and an altogether new level this time. Ready to clear his dad’s name, Azad assumes his father’s name and lives out his promise to his late mother.
Not only does he get the corrupt machinery of the state to accomplish their responsibilities of safeguarding the down-trodden fraction of the society, but what makes it all the more memorable is his choice to adorn a masking bandage. Making it easier for him to get lost in the crowd, which goes in line with his final declarations in the movie, “Main Aap Hoon”, he refers to being one among the common public of the nation.
2. SRK’s Chocolate Boy Era Strikes Again

3. As Jailer Azad Rathore of the Belamwada Women’s Jail

4. Masked Disguise

5. In Long-Haired Don/Pathaan Style, Out to Save His Girls Squad

6. Suave Vikram Rathore
Striking resemblance with his Om Shanti Om‘s caricature of the Bhaago Bhaago” character, Vikram’s moustache first quickly took me back to the Shah Rukh Khan-Farah Khan movies era. However, there’s no denying that his charm as young Rathore was too much to handle, after all he managed to impress Deepika’s Aishwarya.

7. Special Ops Vikram Rathore

8. The Old Rugged Vikram Rathore Returns With a Bang

9. ‘Mummy-fied’ Vikram Rathore aka the “Messiah”

Best Shah Rukh Khan Jawan Look

Yes, I know that I probably reminded you of SRK’s moustachioed “Bhaago Bhaag” caricature from Om Shanti Om as mentioned above, and the vision may not leave your mind anytime soon. However, I still pick this as one of my ultimate favourite Shah Rukh Khan Jawan looks because young Vikram Rathore had an aura about his presence, that still powered his personality in the old days too as he raced ahead of his much younger son later on. It’s almost as if his reflexes had instinctively recorded his youth’s agility, and the retained muscle memory keeps kicking in his husky senior years as well.
Moreover, there’s a nostalgic angle to this pick as well, and for that I need to take you back to Khan’s Main Hoon Na days too. I couldn’t help but relate his younger Special Ops identity with this presence as Major Ram in the 2004 Farah Khan directorial. In an alternate universe, this is exactly how I imagine Major Ram Prashad Sharma to have grown up as the pride of the nation, with maturity causing him to grow out his hair and moustache, which is a good look on him.
In the very first few scenes, (SPOILERS AHEAD), when Vikram finally awakens from his nearly-dead state to standing up as the “Messiah” of the people being attacked near the border, he repays their favour by saving them in a hard-hitting kickass action sequence. And Atlee’s slo-mo captures of his endless lengths of bandages gradually falling down to reveal his shorter hair, with the same robust energy fuelling his existence, as reflected in his eyes, were a treat to behold.
Even otherwise, as depicted through the old memories of Aishwarya (Deepika Padukone, playing the role of Vikram’s wife), the camera always portrayed him as the gentlemanly debonair man who just knew how to dress the part. His elegant and sophisticated attire aesthetic is what people thinking that men’s fashion is limited to a shirt and pant duo set should look up to!
Jawan is now playing in theatres in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
