D-Day Concept Photos: BTS’ Suga Switches Up His Personality in ‘Exister’ Theme

D-Day Concept Photos with the Exister theme have been revealed today by BigHit Music. The second set of pictures follows the ‘Being’ theme that was released yesterday. These pictures express the overall feel of the album and what kind of colours one should expect. So far there is a contradictory theme with a firey constant.

In the released images, we see BTS’ Suga in an outfit that looks quite similar to his look in the first mixtape Agust D – wearing a white T-shirt with ripped jeans. Over it, the rapper has put on a tropical-printed shirt with hints of red and white. In the first picture, he is seen posing in a bathtub which is placed in what seems like a wrecked room

In the second set of images, he is seen standing in front of a hazy mirror where he is looking at his own reflection and in the next, he looks straight at the camera. He maintains his poker face, not expressing any emotions.

While in the last image, Suga is seen standing in front of the fire & looking straight into the camera. The image is the only one which is similar to the previous concept pictures. There also, in one of the pics he was standing with the fire.

Both the concept pictures showcase different alter egos of the BTS member. In ‘Being’ he is seen wearing a black tuxedo with a white shirt and a black overcoat. While the ‘Exister’ shows him in a more casual outfit. It could probably signify the personalities of his last two mixtapes. Agust D has a more rough exterior, somewhat of a local thug, where the tracks were filled with high-intensity rage & to show the world his potential.

Meanwhile, D-2 has sophisticated, skilled killer vibes – where the tracks suggested that the singer has learnt his importance & doesn’t need to prove the world because he is already the King (Daechwita). The ‘Being’ pictures also have the same scar on the eye as Daechwita MV, while ‘Exister’ doesn’t.

Recently, the complete tracklist of the album was also revealed and it included 10 tracks in total. They were D-DAY, 해금 (Haegeum), HUH?! (feat. j-hope), AMYGDALA, SDL, People Pt 2 (feat IU), 극야 (Geugya), Interlude: Dawn, Snooze (feat Ryuichi Sakamoto and Woosung of The Rose) and the last one was Life Goes On.

People Pt 2 MV (사람 Pt 2) has been finally released on 7th April, featuring IU. The song is described as something that the singer wants to tell himself and also others, which was actually written during the time when the world was trapped in closed doors due to the pandemic. Through the song, he wishes to comfort himself and the listeners from the hopelessness of life.

According to the schedule, these are all the concept photos for the album and the MV teaser for the main track will be released on 20th April at 12 AM KST. What are your theories about the album & the concept, let us know in the comments.

Suga’s album D-Day will be released on 21st April 2023, the same day as SUGA Road to D-DAY will be released on Weverse and Disney+.
