Crash Course in Romance Episode 8 is packed with emotions and memories as the leading duo of Choi Chi-yeol and Nam Haeng-seon delve into the past. The episode starts with the star math instructor being taken by Haeng-seon to her mother’s old dish store, which stirs up a flood of emotions within him. He recalls the kindness that her mother showed him when he was a struggling student, always providing him with food and never turning him away.

Haeng-seon, on the other hand, begins to suspect that Choi Chi-yeol may have developed feelings for her, causing her to question her own thoughts and emotions. Despite her attempts to convince herself otherwise, the seed of doubt remains.

As the episode progresses, the star math instructor discovers the source of the leak that had exposed his private tutoring sessions to Haeng-seon’s niece. He is faced with the unfortunate reality that the person behind the leak is none other than his colleague, who wants to see him fail. This discovery adds another layer of tension to the episode, as Choi Chi-yeol must find a way through the envious environment of workplace politics.

As usual Crash Course in Romance Episode 8 captivated us with its relatable and heartwarming moments. The episode begins with the leading duo of Choi Chi-yeol and Nam Haeng-seon revisiting their past, which highlighted the kind nature of Nam’s mother who always provided food to the young and struggling Chi-yeol.

Moreover, the attention to detail in the episode, combined with the well-written screenplay (something which has elevated right from episode 1), made for an enjoyable viewing experience. The characters are well-defined, and their chemistry remains electric,  which just makes us as viewers, root for them. Furthermore, the instalment was a perfect blend of humour, drama, and romance, and was a usual delight to watch.

Notably, the climax of the episode showcases a returning gesture from Chi-yeol as he surprises the side dish store with a new landlord and rental space. This small act of kindness was a sweet touch to an already fantastic episode. Plus, the celebration towards the end of the episode sets the stage for a potential romantic climax between the two leading characters.
