Citadel Easter Egg: Did You Spot Varun Dhawan in Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden’s Show?

Amazon Prime Video’s Citadel is really taking some flight. Some viewers are loving it and, some have no idea where the show is heading. Nonetheless, the spy action thriller has everyone under its spell, be it a good one or a bad one. The series is created by Josh Appelbaum, Bryan Oh, and David Weil with the Russo brothers acting as executive producers.

The main cast of the series features Richard Madden as Mason Kane / Kyle Conroy, Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Nadia Sinh, Ashleigh Cummings as Abby Conroy / Brielle / Celeste Graham, Roland Møller as Anders and Davik Silje, Osy Ikhile as Carter Spence, Caoilinn Springall as Hendrix Conroy, Lesley Manville as Dahlia Archer and Stanley Tucci as Bernard Orlick. However, there is another cast member that was just introduced to us in some form and, fans have been going gaga over the little easter egg drop.

In the latest episode of Citadel titled Time Renders Us Enemies, we see how eight years ago, Nadia wanted to relocate to Spain after she realized she is pregnant. Due to this, she reached out to Rahi Gambhir (played by Paul Bazely). It is later revealed when Kane and Ikhile confront her that Gambhir is not just a terrorist but also, Nadia’s father.

The flashback scenes show us Paul Bazley playing the role of Gambhir when he helps Nadia escape Citadel. However, when we finally get to hear Gambhir’s voice, it is not that of Paul Bazley’s but, of Varun Dhawan’s! Even, the end credits confirm this by including a special thanks to Dhawan.

This addition only makes us more excited for the Indian version of this show that is steadily coming our way where we know Dhawan is going to star, alongside the beautiful Samantha. One might even say that this cameo could be a hint that Dhawan might be playing Nadia’s father’s character in his upcoming series where we witness the journey of Gambhir becoming a terrorist. The Indian version of this spy thriller is going to be by Raj and DK, so we are in reliable hands one can say.

Meanwhile, the final episode of Citadel is scheduled to arrive on May 26, 2023. The episode is titled Secrets in Night Need Early Rains. It is written by Josh Appelbaum & Bryan Oh and, will be available on Amazon Prime Video for viewing.
