This film stars Evan Whitten, Ashley Ciarra, Nickolas Verdugo, Christian Slater, Demián Bichir and Julio Cesar Cedillo, alongside other cast members. It is directed by Jonás Cuarón and is written by Joe Barnathan, Brendan Bellomo, Sean Kennedy Moore and Marcus Rinehart.

Chupa Ending Explained

We see a group of scientists conducting a search for El Chupacabras for medical research. They are desperate because the investors have put in too much of their resources in order for this search to fail. Now that they have cornered a baby version of the mythical creature, it would be easy to use it as a resource for making medicines. But a mother chupacabra reveals herself and attacks the members of the research team. While the two animals make their escape, they get hit by a car and the mother decides to use this as a distraction and save the youngin.

The film begins by showing us a lonely boy, Alex, in school, taking his lunchbox and feeling bad about the cards he has been dealt as a Mexican. Additionally, losing his father has made him even more of a recluse in school and especially at home. When he gets back home and sees a passport with his name and a ticket to Mexico, he is further convinced that this is an idea that will make him miss his life back home even more.

When he gets off the aeroplane, his grandfather, Chava, puts him in a fake chokehold and makes the little kid question his entire decision to spend a week in Mexico. When they’re in the car, the grandfather tries to strike up a conversation about his son. But the kid is so saddened by the death of his father that he would rather bury his head in the GameBoy than have this conversation.

On his first night at the house, he is introduced to his wrestling-obsessed cousin, Memo and his cool cousin sister, Luna. They are all talking when the Chupacabra is brought up in the house. The grandfather is all too excited to shut this conversation down and remind everyone that Chupacabras are indeed not real and they should stop talking about it now. But Alex is not really convinced about this. In the night, when he is unable to sleep, he goes down to find his grandfather in the shed holding a music box.

Alex hears a noise in the bushes, and on close examination, he sees that it is actually a Chupacabra. When he yells for his grandfather, everyone becomes afraid. However, they start to realise that their little cousin is just scared of everything, including a normal rabbit. Alex, who knows what he saw, is happy to keep this creature’s existence a secret. The next morning, the trio have to go out and look for their grandfather because he is prone to get lost and may lose his ranch in case someone finds out about it.

While the search seems to have been pretty unfruitful, they find him wandering on the side of the road with a goat and take him back home. Back home, Alex tries to bring food for the Chupacabra, but Memo catches him and is surprised that this creature exists but decides to keep it safe. Luna also finds out immediately after, and even though she doesn’t like the idea of keeping it, she relents to her brothers’ wishes.

The researchers find the car which crashed into the mythical creature and follows it back to Chava, who also knows that the creature exists and has since been taking care of it from these people trying to steal it. They try their best to keep it safe, but the researcher manages to take it away. But the rest of the family of Chupacabras heard the little one howling and came to save it. In the end, they all escape, the family is back together, and Alex goes home with an experience of a lifetime.
