The trailer of Choose Love IX makes it clear that the fate of the protagonist lies in our hands i.e. the hands of the viewers. In other words, the series is interactive and allows each of us to make decisions for the lead character and other characters as well. And it’s not random choices but ones that will affect their lives in the long run. Albeit to a certain extent, this interactive nature will allow us to be the characters. Isn’t that interesting? The rom-com has been written by Josann McGibbon (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) and directed by Stuart McDonald (Runaway Bride).
The cast includes Laura Marano (The Royal Treatment) as Cami Conway, Scott Michael Foster as Cami’s boyfriend Paul, Avan Jogia as rockstar Rex Galier and Jordi Webber as Cami’s first love Jack Menna. We also have Megan Smart, Nell Fisher, Lucy Wigmore, and Benjamin Hoetjes.

In the trailer, we see that Cami and Paul are the perfect couple. Cami is very happy in her relationship and she loves her job too. But somehow she feels that something is missing. A visit to a fortune teller reveals that her life’s path is about to diverge in multiple directions. Sure enough, she comes across her first love Jack. Meanwhile, rockstar Rex Galier too takes a liking to her in a way that is more than just liking. She seems to be reciprocating too.
As she obsesses about Jack and Rex, she finds out that Paul is about to propose to her. Well, that’s problematic. She knows she cannot lie to Paul. And hiding isn’t an option. She has to come out clean. Will she do that? Rather the question should be, what will we do in that situation? Such complexities are sure to add to the overall interactive essence of the show.
The fact that every decision we help her make will result in a different outcome means that the story will have multiple endings that may or may not be to our liking. But that’s life, right? We do not know what’s going to happen and the best we can do is try to make the right choice or the choice that we feel is the right one. What makes the series interesting is that we won’t just be controlling Cami’s fate. In a way, we will be living her life. Are you ready to make her choices? Think about it.
