The departure leaves the people in despair, uncertain of their beloved Prince’s fate. Lee In, however, befriends Emperor Qing’s favourite brother, using their connection to help the captives.

After years, Grand Prince Lee In returns with some captives, demanding them as a gift. However, manipulations unfold, leading to the King’s hatred towards Lee In, believing him to be a spy. The Queen and Queen Dowager have conflicting desires for the throne, and amidst this chaos, the King’s illness worsens. Lee In is asked to leave the palace, and a soldier is appointed to tail him.

The Minister of War and the Queen attempt to turn the King against Lee In to promote Prince Royal as the next King. Lee In, uninterested in the throne, simply wishes to stay by his brother’s side. Outside the palace, Lee In encounters a Baduk player, becoming fascinated by the game. Unbeknownst to him, the Baduk player is Kang Hee-soo, the daughter of his master, disguised as a man. She dreams of playing Baduk with the Grand Prince and is secretly working to ransom captives from the Qing Dynasty.

As Lee In’s friendship with Hee-soo deepens, he remains unaware of her true identity. They promise to play Baduk whenever it drizzles, and Hee-soo, disguised as a man named Mong-woo, develops feelings for Lee In. Amid their growing friendship, numerous plots against Lee In and Hee-soo unfold. The King’s request for a spy adds to the intrigue, and the episode concludes with Myung-ha, the soon-to-be husband of Hee-soo discovering her disguise and confronting her, leaving viewers curious about the future revelations.
