BTS’ RM LOST MV Gains Global Recognition with Nominations at CICLOPE Festival and UKMVA

BTS member RM continues to make waves on the international stage, with his music video for “LOST!” earning nominations at prestigious global award ceremonies. BTS’ RM LOST MV is the title track from RM’s second solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person, which was released in May 2024. The music video has gained widespread attention, especially in Europe, where it has been nominated for awards in both Germany and the UK.

At the CICLOPE Festival, one of the most well-known events in the advertising and entertainment industries, LOST! is nominated in four major categories: Direction, Cinematography, Production Design, and Color Grading. The CICLOPE Festival, held annually in Berlin, is renowned for recognizing outstanding creative work in film, television, and digital content. RM’s visually stunning video is up against fierce competition, with the winners set to be announced on October 10th, 2024.

In addition to its CICLOPE nominations, “LOST!” is also a strong contender at the UK Music Video Awards (UKMVA), where it has been nominated in three categories: Best Alternative International Video, Best Production Design in a Video, and Best Visual Effects in a Video. The UKMVA is highly regarded for honoring creativity and technical expertise in music videos across the globe, making RM’s nominations a significant accomplishment. The winners of the UKMVA will be revealed on October 25th, 2024.

Kim Namjoon’s impact is not limited to the music video world; he is also receiving praise for his documentary, RM: Right People Wrong Place. This documentary has made history as the first K-pop film to be invited to the Open Cinema section of the 29th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). Open Cinema is known for showcasing films that bridge both artistic merit and broad audience appeal, making RM’s inclusion a landmark moment for K-pop.

The documentary, which dives into RM’s creative journey and personal reflections, will be screened on October 7th, 2024, at BIFF. Tickets for the screening sold out almost instantly when they became available on September 24th, demonstrating RM’s massive popularity and influence not only in music but also in film.

With nominations spanning multiple international festivals and his documentary debut set to captivate audiences, RM’s artistic achievements continue to reach new heights on the global stage.
